Chhatrey rejects the name Gorkhaland
D.K.Waiba, KalimNews, Kalimpong, 14 December: Chhatrey Subba expected people to approach him and request to lead them for the creation of a separate state. Speaking to the reporters Subba stated that presently he is not thinking of forming a new party, instead he hinted that if he is requested to lead them, he may do so. He clarified that till now no one has requested him to join any political party. Chhatrey Subba acquitted from the Ghising attack case is now taking rest at his residence in Rousay Bazar of Kalimpong.
Subba also stated that people are hungry of power and money and they can neither lead nor be a supporter of any agitation. Subba expected sincere people for the new phase of agitational movement and affirmed that he never was after money or power.
The name Gorkhaland is a misnomer and also may not be appropriate instead we may name it to universalise all races and tribes of the hills, we may finalise it after achieving the statehood, initially we may just say a separate state, Subba said.
Subba repeated that he is observing the political movement and activities of the hills and plains.
जनताले नभनी आन्दोलन गर्दिन-छत्र सुब्बा
मनोज वोगटी, कालिमन्युज, कालेबुङ, 14 दिसम्बर। छत्र सुब्बाले तिनीमाथि गरिएका सम्पूर्ण अनुमानहरूको अन्त्य गरिदिएका छन्। छत्र सुब्बाले कुनै पार्टी खोल्न त परैको कुरा आन्दोलन नै नगर्ने भएका छन्। तिनले आन्दोलन नगर्नुको खास कारण भने जनता रहेको छ। तिनको भनाइ अनुसार अहिले जनताले पैसाको आन्दोलन गरिरहेको छ। तिनले भने, धेरै आए, आन्दोलन गरौं भन्न तर आन्दोलन हात र मुखले मात्र गरिन्न। सबैभन्दा ठूलो कुरा आन्दोलन जब जनताले भन्छ तब गर्नुपर्छ। तीन महिनादेखि म हेरिरहेको छु जनता पैसाको पछि लागेका छन्। मैले कुन जनताको निम्ति आन्दोलन गर्नु? छत्र सुब्बाले नयॉं पार्टी खोल्ने हल्ला अहिले व्यापक छ। तिनलाई विमल गुरूङको विकल्पकोरुपमा पनि धेरैले व्याख्या गरेका छन् तर यथार्थमा भने छत्र सुब्बा आन्दोलन गर्ने पक्षमा छैनन्। बोल्न नमान्दा नमान्दै पनि छत्र सुब्बाले भने, जनताको आकांक्षा पुरा भएन भने आन्दोलन त हुनैपर्छ। तर आन्दोलन भनेको खेलाइँचीको कुरा होइन। आन्दोलन नेताले गर्दैन।
जनताले नेतृत्व तयार पार्नुपर्छ। आन्दोलन गर्नसक्नेलाई जनताले आन्दोलन गर्न लगाउनुपर्छ। नेतृत्वको नियम बुझ्नुपर्छ। पैसा देख्ने वित्तिकै मुद्दा बिर्सनेहरूलाई जनताले साथ धिइसकेको छ। अब जनता आफै आन्दोलनको निम्ति तयार हुनुपर्छ। जनता नै नेताले फ्यॉंकेको पैसाको चारोमा पर्छ भने त्यस्ता जनताको निम्ति आन्दोलन हुँदैन। म पैसाको निम्ति आन्दोलन गर्दिन। तिनले अझ भने, रुपियॉंमा भुलिने आन्दोलन गर्नु हुँदैन। अहिले रुपियॉंमा भुलिने र जनतालाई भुलाउने आन्दोलन भइरहेको छ। जनता सावधान रहनुपर्छ। आन्दोलनको निम्ति पैसा चाहिन्छ, म्यान पावर चाहिन्छ, सिद्धान्त, कार्यनीति र बौद्धिकता चाहिन्छ। त्यो जनताले तयार गर्नुपर्छ, सरकारले होइन। दागोपाप र जीटीएले पनि होइन। जनतालाई पार्टी र नेताले पैसाको निम्ति तयार गर्नु हुँदैन। यसो गर्नु भूल हुन्छ। उसो भए तपाईँ आन्दोलन गर्नु हुन्न त? पत्रकारहरूले सोधेको यो प्रश्नको उत्तरमा तिनले भने, मैले आन्दोलन गर्नुपर्छ भने जनताले भन्नुपर्छ। जनता नै पैसा छोडेर छुट्टै राज्यको निम्ति आउनुपर्छ। व्यक्ति-व्यक्ति, घर-घर, गाउँ-गाउँ, शहर-शहर, टोल टोल एकत्रित भएर एउटै विषयमा जोडिनुपर्छ। जनताले नै नभनी कसरी आन्दोलन गर्नु? मैले आन्दोलन गर्दा कसलाई छुट्टै राज्य चाहिएको छ भनेर देखाउनु? जुन जनतालाई देखाउनुपर्छ, उनीहरू नै पैसामा झुत्तिएका छन्। जनता पैसाको निम्ति नाच्छ। तर जनतालाई छुट्टै राज्य चाहिन्छ र उनीहरू मिलेर अघि आए निश्चय नै आन्दोलन गर्नेछु। पैसा मलाई एलर्जी लाग्छ। पैसाको राजनीति गर्ने भए म 11 वर्ष बस्ने थिइन।
अर्कोतिर तिनलाई युवा मोर्चाको आन्दोलनबारे प्रश्न गर्दा भने, युवा मोर्चा भनेको अलग्गै पार्टी हो? भनेर उल्टै पत्रकारहरूसित तिनले प्रश्न गरे। होइन भने कसरी पत्याउने? जनता जानुन्, तिनले थपे। एकातिर आन्दोलन आफै नगर्ने अनि जनताले चाहेमा निश्चय नै आन्दोलनमा उत्रनै बताउँदै अहिलेसम्मको आन्दोलनमा अघिल्लोतिर जोडिएको गोर्खा शब्दको कारण उपलब्धी हासिल नभएको हो कि भन्ने कुरामा भने बहस हुनुपर्ने तिनले बताए। तिनले भने, आन्दोलनको धार पनि परिवर्तन गर्नुपर्छ। पारम्परिक आन्दोलनले केही हुँदैन। गोर्खा शब्दले अडचन हुँदैछ भन्ने अनुभव भएमा छुट्टै राज्य भनेर आन्दोलन गर्न सकिन्छ। छुट्टै राज्य भने बङ्गालबाट छुट्टिएर हुनुपर्छ। बङ्गालबाट छुट्टिएको राज्यको नाम पछि तय गर्दा हुन्छ।
हात र मुखले मात्र आन्दोलन गर्छु भनेर हुदैन - छत्रे सुब्बा
डी० के० वाईबा, कालिमन्युज, कालेबुंग 14 दिसम्बर : दार्जीलिंग राजनैतिक परिस्थितिलाई खुबै गहन तरिकाले अध्ययान गरिरहेका जीएलओ प्रमुख छत्रे सुब्बाले छुट्टै राज्य गोर्खाल्याण्डको आन्दोलन अघि बढाउन नयाँ राजनैतिक पार्टीको गठन गर्ने कुरो केही दिन अघि देखि चर्चामा आएको थियो| नयाँ पार्टीको गठन गर्ने कुरा चर्चामा आएपछि दार्जीलिंगको राजनैतिक मोड कस्तो हुने हो भन्ने विषयमा विभिन्न अड्कलबाजी शुरु भएको थियो| यस्तोमा सुब्बाले आफ्नो मौनता तोडेर सबै अड्कलबाजी समाप्त गरिदिएको छ| आज पत्रकारहरुसित कुराकानी गर्दै छत्रे सुब्बाले नयाँ राजनैतिक पार्टी खोलेर आन्दोलन शुरु गर्ने हालैमा सोच नबनाएको स्पस्ट परेका छन् | यधपि वर्तमान राजनैतिक परिस्थितिलाई भने नजिक बाटै अध्ययान गरेको बताए| सुब्बाले छुट्टै राज्य गोर्खाल्याण्डको आन्दोलनलाई अघि बढाउन आफुलाई पुन: राजनीतिमा उत्रनुको निम्ति कसैले भन्न नआएको जनाएका छन्|
तिनले कसैले आन्दोलन गर्छु भनेर भन्दैमा नहुने बताउदै आन्दोलन हात र मुखले मात्र नहुने बताउदै अहिले सबै जनताहरु गोर्खाल्याण्डको मुद्दा बिर्सेर पैसाको पछि मात्र कुदिरहेको बताएका छन्| राज्य प्राप्तिको निम्ति आफुले आन्दोलन गर्दा कुनै दिन पैसामा नाभुलिएको अनि आगमी दिनमा पनि पैसाको पछि नाकुदने स्पस्ट पर्दै यदी आन्दोलनकारीहरु पैसामा भुलिन्छन् भने आन्दोलन नगर्दा हुन्छ भनी बताए| छुट्टै राज्यको आन्दोलनलाइ अघि बढाउन जनताले आफुलाई चाहन्छ भने अनि सम्पूर्ण जनताहरु एकबद्ध भएर अघि आए नेतृत्व दिनलाई तयार रहेको पनि स्पष्ट पारे|
हालमा कुनै राजनैतिक पार्टी गठन गर्ने प्रक्रियामा आफु नरहेको बताएपनि भविष्यमा सक्रिय राजनीतिमा उत्रिने तिनले पत्रकारहरुसित कुराकानी गर्दा संकेत दिएका छन्| तिनले छुट्टै राज्यको आन्दोलन गर्दा " गोर्खाल्याण्ड' को नाम दिन उचित नहुन सक्ने विचार व्यक्त गर्दै गोर्खाल्याण्ड भन्दा अन्य जातीका मानिसहरु आक्रोशित हुने गरेको अनि यसले नकारात्मक प्रभाव पर्ने पनि जनाएका छन्|यदि आन्दोलन नै गर्नु हो भने छुट्टै राज्य मात्र भनेर गर्नुपर्ने बताउदै बङ्गालबाट छुटिएपछि मात्र राज्यको नामकारण गर्दा असल हुने पनि सुब्बाले विचार व्यक्त गरे| सुबास घिसिंग हमलाकाण्डको आरोपमा पक्रा परेर एघार वर्ष जेल बसी आरोप मुक्त भएर आएका छत्रे सुब्बाले निक्कै लामो समयपछि आफ्नो मौनता तोडेका छन्| तिनको मौनताले अनेकौ अड्कलबाजी भइरहेकै समयमा मौनता तोडेपछि छत्रेको डर हुनेहरुलाई राहत हुने निश्चित भएको छ| तर त्यो राहत कहिले सम्म हुने हो भन्ने कुरा अहिले नै भन्न सकिंदैन| किन भने हालमा राजनीति गर्ने चाह नभएपनि आगमी दिनमा भने सक्रिय राजनीतिमा ओर्लिने तिनले संकेत दिएका छन्| समयको प्रतिक्षामा बसेका सुब्बाले अब कहिले राजनीतिमा पाइला टेक्नेहुन् छत्रे प्रेमीहरुले प्रतिक्षा गर्नु पर्ने भएको छ |
जीटीए छुट्टै राज्यको मार्गमा बाधा हो-क्रामाकपा
कालिमन्युज, कालेबुङ, 14 दिसम्बर। छुट्टै राज्य गोर्खाल्याण्डको मुद्दा दबाउन गोर्खा जनमुक्ति मोर्चाले गोर्खाहरूको छुट्टै राज्यको समस्याको समाधानको रुपमा जीटीएमा हस्ताक्षर गरेको छ। यो विकास एजेन्सी मात्र थियो भने हाम्रो विरोध हुनेथिएन तर ममता व्यानर्जीले 'बङ्गभङ्ग' होबेना भन्नु र विमल गुरूङसहित तिनका समर्थकहरू नाच्दै त्यसको समर्थन गर्नुको रहस्य अहिले खोलिँदै गइरहेको छ। ममता व्यानर्जीले सम्झौताको बेला 'बङ्गभङ्ग होबेना' भन्नु अब गोर्खाहरूको समस्याको समाधान जीटीएले नै समधान गरेको सन्देश दिनु अनि त्यसमा गोर्खाल्याण्ड आन्दोलनकारीको समर्थन रहेको देखाउनु रहेको आज बुझिँदैछ- डम्बरचोकमा उभिएर धेरै समयपछि क्रामाकपाका युवा सङ्गठन गक्रायुमोका महासचिव अरुण घतानीले आज यसो भने। क्रामाकपाको 16 औं स्थापना दिवसलाई नाचगान र बनभोजको रुपमा नमनाएर क्रामाकपाले पथसभाकोरुपमा मनायो। स्थापना दिवसलाई छेक पारेर क्रामाकपाले जीटीए कसरी छुट्टै राज्यको मार्गमा अवरोध हो अनि जनताको छुट्टै राज्यको मुद्दामाथि कसरी गोर्खा जनमुक्ति मोर्चाले सौदाबाजी गरेको छ भन्ने कुराको खुलासा गर्यो।
ममता व्यानर्जीले स्वीट्जरल्याण्ड देखाएर गोर्खाल्याण्डको मुद्दा दबाएको अनि ममता व्यानर्जीको स्वीट्जरल्याण्डको सपना साकार पार्न मोर्चाले विकास एजेन्सी हातमा लिएको बताउँदै अरुण घतानीले भने, कुरा विकास एजेन्सीसम्मको रहेको भए भन्नु थिएन, तर कुरा मुद्दा दबाउनु रहेकोले क्रामाकपाले जीटीएको विरोध गरिरहेको हो। तिनको भनाइ अनुसार केन्द्रलाई जीटीए देखाएर छुट्टै राज्यको समस्या समाधान भएको प्रचार राज्यले अनि मोर्चाले पनि गरिसकेको छ।
यो कुरा गोर्खाल्याण्ड टास्क फोर्सले बौद्धिक कार्यक्रम गर्दै केन्द्रिय नेताहरूलाई दिल्लीमा भेट्नेक्रममा पत्तो पाइएको हो। किन भने जति पनि केन्द्रिय नेताहरूसित गोर्खाल्याण्ड टास्क फोर्सका प्रतिनिधिहरूले भेटे सबैले 'तपाईँहरूको छुट्टै राज्यको समस्याको त समाधान भइसक्यो त, फेरि के कुरा गर्न आउनु भो?' भनेर जीटीएलाई देखाएको टास्क फोर्सले बारम्बार अहिले बताइरहेको छ। घतानीले पिन्टेल भिलेजमा ममता व्यानर्जीले 'बङ्गभङ्ग होबेना, तापईँहरू जीटीएमा खुशी हुनुहुन्छ?' भनेर सोध्नु अनि मोर्चा समर्थनमा नाच्नुले नै छुट्टै राज्यको मुद्दासित मोर्चाले सौदाबाजी गरेको स्पष्ट पारेको आज बुझिएको कुरामा जोड दिए। किन मोर्चाका विधायकहरू सरकारी बेञ्चमा बसेका हुन्, किन गोर्खाल्याण्डको मुद्दा देखाएर जनतालाई झुक्काउँदै उनीहरूले चुनाउ जिते, किन नगरपालिका चुनाउमा उनीहरू मरिमेटिरहेका छन्, किन भुइँचालोमा पैसा आएन भनेर बिच्किए, किन जीटीए गठन गर्नको निम्ति अनेकौं जालझेल गरिहेको छ भन्ने कुरा पनि अहिले छर्लङ्ग भएको अनि मोर्चाले मुद्दासित सौदाबाजी गरेर गोरामुमोको अवतारमा आफूलाई स्थापित गरेको घतानीले बताए।
तिनले प्रश्न उठाए, आखिर मोर्चालाई के बाध्यता छ? के दागोपापको पैसामा गरिएको भ्रष्टचारबाट बॉंच्न मोर्चाले मुद्दा बेचेर जीटीए थाप्नु परेको हो? मदन तामङको हत्याको मुद्दाबाट बॉंच्न जीटीए थापिएको हो? जब कि जनताले बिसाउनी मागेको छैन, मोर्चाले भने बिसाउनी भनेर किन जीटीए जबरजस्ती थापिरहेको छ? जनताले अब सत्य र असत्यलाई छुट्याउनुपर्छ। मोर्चाको युवा सङ्गठनले गरिरहेको आन्दोलन देखावटी र जनतामा भ्रम उत्पन्न गर्ने चलखेल मात्र बताउँदै घतानीले भने, सॉंच्ची नै छुट्टै राज्यको आन्दोलन युवा मोर्चाले गर्ने थियो भने पिन्टेल भिलेजमा ममता व्यानर्जीले बङ्गभङ्ग होबेना भन्दा विद्रोह गर्न सक्नु पर्थ्यो। माउ सङ्गठन जीटीए भन्दैछ, छोरा सङ्गठन छुट्टै राज्य भन्दैछ, अब युवा मोर्चाले पनि जनतालाई ढॉंट्नु हुँदैन। युवाशक्तिबाट विश्वास उठ्नु राम्रो हुँदैन। घतानीले विधायक डा.हर्कबहादुर छेत्रीलाई उल्लेख गर्दै डा. छेत्रीले आफैले घिसिङका विरोधमा लेखेका लेखहरू पढ्नुपर्ने बताउँदै छेत्री अहिले तानाशाहको भाषा बोल्न थालेको बताए। मोर्चाको युवा इकार्ईले मदन तामङ काण्डमा आरबी राईको फोन ट्यापिङ सार्वजनिक हुनुपर्ने भनेर दिएको बयानको उत्तर दिँदै स्पष्ट पारे, आरबी राईले मोबाइल फोन बोक्दैनन्। अहिले जनताले मदन तामङ मार्नेहरू त घुमिरहेका छन्, आम मान्छे मारेको त कुक्कुर मरेको जस्तो पनि हुँदैन भनिरहेका छन्। यो हो मोर्चाको गणतन्त्र।
हत्या र हिंसाको राजनीति गरेर जनतालाई आतङि्कत गर्दै मोर्चाले मदन तामङ हत्याबाट बॉंच्न नै जीटीए थापेको पनि बताए। आवश्यकतामा क्रामाकपा नै काम लागेको अनि पछि पैसा पाउन थालेपछि मुद्दा र मित्रतालाई धोका दिएको पनि तिनले बताए। सन्तोष प्रधानले जनताले युवा मोर्चा र गक्रायुमोका कार्यक्रमहरूलाई तुलना गरेर हेर्नुपर्ने बताउँदै जीटीएको निम्ति चाप सृष्टि गर्न युवा मोर्चाले छुट्टै राज्य भनिरहेको अनि क्रामाकपाले भने दिल्लीमा छुट्टै राज्यको निम्ति धर्ना दिने कार्यक्रम तयार गरिरहेको बताए। मोर्चा बहुलाएको कुक्कर झैं, छुट्टै राज्य भन्नेहरूसित झम्टिन थालेको भए पनि क्रामाकपाले यसलाई स्वभाविक लिएको तिनले बताए। सुदन प्रधानले युवावर्गले झुटको राजनीतिलाई पश्रय दिनु नहुने बताउँदै पत्यारिलो आन्दोलन गर्नुपर्ने बताए।
तिनले मोर्चामा नै बसेर छुट्टै राज्य भन्दा कसैले पत्याउने कुरा नआउने पनि बताए। छुट्टै राज्यको निम्ति कार्यक्रम गर्नेहरूलाई विथोल्न अनि जनतालाई भ्रममा राख्न नै युवा मोर्चाको आन्दोलन भइरहेको भए पनि केहीदिनमा नै सॉंचो र झुटो कुरा छुट्टिने पनि बताए। मोहन पौड्यालले क्रामाकपाको झण्डा धामी झॉंक्री लगाएर नबनाएको तर श्रमिकको खुनबाट बनिएको बताए भने किशोर प्रधानले गोजमुमोलाई गोरामुमाको अवतार बताए। अरुलाई विकास गर्न जीटीए चाहिएन, दार्जीलिङलाई मात्र किन चाहियो? तिनले प्रश्न उठाउँदै जनताले सही निर्णय र समर्थन गर्नुपर्ने बेला भएको बताए।
जीटीए छुट्टै राज्यको मार्गमा बाधा होइन-सी.के.श्रेष्ठ
कालिमन्युज, कालेबुङ, 14 दिसम्बर। छुट्टै राज्य अनि जीटीएबीचको द्वन्द्वले अब राजनैतिक माहौल गरम गर्ने सम्भावना बढेको छ। पहाडका सम्पूर्ण विपक्ष दल छुट्टै राज्यको माग्रमा जीटीए अवरोध रहेको कुरा गरिरहेका छन् भने सांसद सम्मले नै छुट्टै राज्यको दाबी गर्नु हो भने जीटीए खारेज गर्नुपर्ने बताइरहेका छन्। वास्तवमा राज्य अनि केन्द्र सरकारले जीटीएलाई देखाएर गोर्खाहरूको पुरानो समस्या समाधान भयो भनेर देशभरि गरेको प्रचार नै वास्तवमा छुट्टै राज्यको दाबीको मार्गमा बाधा रहेको छ। तर सांसद जसवन्त सिंहले जीटीएलाई छुट्टै राज्यको बाधक रहेको कुरा गर्नु राजनैतिक सचेत सी.के. श्रेष्टलाई उचित लागेको छैन। तिनले आज एक प्रेस विज्ञप्ति जारी गर्दै भनेका छन्, गोर्खाल्याण्ड चाहिन्छ भने जीटीए सम्झौता रद्द गर्नुपर्छ भनेर दार्जीलिङका सांसद जसवन्त सिंहले भनेका हुन् भने त्यो उनको नासमझीको प्रमाण हो।
यो बयानले छर्लंग हुँदछ जसवन्त सिंहलाई गोर्खाल्याण्ड सम्बन्धी रत्तिभर पनि ज्ञान छैन। ज्ञान भएदेखि यसरी भारतका एक करोडभन्दा बडी गोर्खाहरुको राष्ट्रिय चिह्नारीको जनाकांक्षालाई दार्जीलिङका तीन पहाडी महकुमाको विकाससित जोड़्ने मूर्खता गर्ने थिएनन्। जीटीए भनेको केवल दार्जीलिङ र दार्जीलिङवासीको विकासको मुद्दा हो। सारा भारतका गोर्खाहरुको राष्ट्रिय अनि राजनैतिक चिह्नारीसित यसको कुनै सम्बन्ध नै छैन। त्यसैले गोर्खाल्याण्ड चाहिन्छ भने जीटीएको सम्झौता रद्द गर्नुपर्छ भन्ने बयानले उनको विषयबस्तुप्रतिको अनभिज्ञतालाई स्पष्ट दर्शाउँछ। गोर्खाल्याण्ड टास्क फोर्स अनि पहाडका अन्य दलहरूले जीटीएलाई गोर्खाहरूको छुट्टै राज्यको समस्याको समाधानको सूत्रकोरुपमा व्याख्या गरिएकोले जीटीएलाई छुट्टै राज्य निर्माणको मार्गमा बाधा बताउँदै जीटीएको विरोध गरिरहेका छन् तर सांसद आफैले जीटीए छुट्टै राज्यको मार्गमा अवरोध बताउनुभित्र कुनै वास्तविकता नरहेको दाबी गरेका छन्। वास्तवमा छुट्टै राज्यको सवालमा जीटीएलाई अवरोध रहेको बताउनु नै भूल रहेको सी.के.श्रेष्ठको दाबी छ। श्रेष्ठ अनुसार भारतका प्राय: जसो सबै राज्यहरुमा गोर्खाहरु छरिएर बसेका छन्। सिक्किम राज्यमा बाहेक अन्य सबै राज्यहरुमा अल्पसंख्यक छन्। प्रत्येक राज्यहरुमै राज्य सरकारसित आफ्नो जातिको भविष्य, हित र कल्याणको निम्ति जुझिरहेकै छन्।
गोर्खाहरुको जातीय उत्थानको निम्ति बङ्गालमा मात्र होइन आसाम, पञ्जाब, महाराष्ट्र, उत्तराखण्ड अनि अन्य राज्यहरुमा पनि गोर्खाहरुले संघर्ष चलाइरहेकै छन्। कहीँ स्वशासित व्यवस्थाको निम्ति, कहीँ ओबीसी मान्यताको निम्ति त कहीँ विशिष्ट दर्जाको निम्ति। यस्तै संघर्षहरुको प्रतिफलस्वरुप आसाममा गोर्खा डेभलपमेण्ट काउन्सिल, बङ्गालमा गोर्खा टेरिटोरियल एड्मिनिष्ट्रेशन अनि अन्य राज्यहरुमा विशेष दर्जाहरु प्राप्त गरिएका हुन्। यी सबै राज्य अन्तर्गतका सहुलियतहरु हुन्। गोर्खाल्याण्ड भनेको विषय नै बेग्लै हो। यो राष्ट्रिय स्तरमा बहस गरेर संसदमा छिनोफानो गरिने विषय हो। त्यसैले गोर्खाल्याण्ड मागको निम्ति जीटीए सम्झौता रद्द गर्नुपर्छ भन्नु सरासर अनुचित कुरो हो।
सांसद जसवन्त सिंहले गोर्खाल्याण्डको नाममा चुनाउ लडेर आजसम्म उल्लेखयोग्य एउटै पनि काम गरेका छैनन् अझै उल्टो आफ्नै मतदाताहरुले क्षेत्रिय विकासको निम्ति हासिल गरेको सहुलियतहरुलाई पनि खारेज गर्ने कुरो गर्छन् भने उनलाई दार्जीलिङ समष्टिको सांसद भएर बसिरहने कुनै नैतिक अधिकार छैन। श्रेष्ठले विज्ञप्तिमा लेखेका छन्, अब रह्यो गोर्खाल्याण्ड आन्दोलनलाई फेरि अघि बढाएर लाने कुरो। गोर्खाल्याण्ड आन्दोलनको नेतृत्व चाहे जोसुकैले गरोस्, युवा मोर्चाले गरोस्, नारी मोर्चाले गरोस्, सामूहिक नेतृत्वमा होस् कि राजनैतिक पार्टीले गरोस् तर यस मुद्दाको स्पष्ट र सही अवधारणा बुझेर मात्र गरिनुपर्छ भन्ने कुरोमा दुइ मत हुनै सक्तैन। यो कुन स्तरको मुद्दा हो, कुन स्तरमा पहल गरिनुपर्ने हो, पहल गर्दा कुन विचारको आधारमा पहल गर्नुपर्ने हो भन्ने कुराहरु ऐना झैं छर्लंग हुनुपर्छ।
तिनले बताए अनुसार गोर्खाल्याण्ड भारतका समस्त गोर्खाहरुको राष्ट्रिय चिह्नारीको मुद्दा भनिन्छ भने यो अभियानमा एउटा क्षेत्र विशेषको मात्र गोर्खाहरुको सहभागिता नरहेर भारतभरिकै गोर्खाहरुको संलग्नता रहनु आवश्यक छ कि छैन अनि यो चिह्नारी नपाउँदा भारतमा गोर्खा जातिलाई के खति भइरहेछ अनि पाउँदा के राम्रो हुन्छ भन्ने प्रश्र्नहरुको युक्तिसंगत पत्यारलाग्दो जवाबहरु केके हुन्, यी सबै कुराहरु खुलस्त भएको हुनैपर्छ। त्यत्ति मात्र नभएर आज देशमा राज्य माग गर्ने अन्य दलहरुको समस्या र गोर्खाल्याण्डको समस्यामा कुनै सामञ्जस्यता छ के त? छैन भने किन छैन ? भारतमा अरु जातिले राज्य मागेको र गोर्खाले राज्य मागेको एउटै कारणको निम्ति हो कि होइन? यदि होइन भने उनीहरुसंगै लागेर कहिलेसम्म अनि कहॉंसम्म जान सक्छौं यी कुराहरु पनि बिल्कुल सफा हुनुपर्छ।
अनि सबभन्दा मुख्य कुरो गोर्खाल्याण्डको मुद्दा एउटा नितान्त राजनैतिक मुद्दा हो अनि यसको चुड़ान्त निर्णय पनि केन्द्रमा बागडोर सम्हाल्ने सत्तारुढ़ पार्टीको राजनैतिक इच्छाशक्तिमाथि नै निर्भर गर्छ। श्रेष्ठले के पनि भनेका छन् भने ती पार्टीहरुसितको राजनैतिक सम्बन्ध, सॉंठगॉंठ अनि पारस्परिक विश्र्वासपात्रतालाई सुदृढ़ गर्नलाई के कस्ता आवश्यक कदमहरु चालिए अथवा चालिएकै छैनन् यी कुराहरु पनि मननीय छन्। आजसम्म हात लागेका असफलताहरुलाई यी कुराहरुको उज्यालोमा एकपल्ट केलाएर, मनन अनि चिन्तन गरेर आगामी रणनीतिहरु तयार गर्नु नै गोर्खाल्याण्डको मुद्दा लिएर अघि बढ़्न चाहनेहरुको निम्ति आजको दिनका प्राथमिकताहरु हुन्।

Friends who wanted to see Sikkim winter
TT, Calcutta, Dec. 14: Three friends from Howrah had wanted to tour Sikkim in winter.
They had called it “winter vacation”, recalled Barun Dey. He had got a call yesterday evening from one of them Rajib Chakraborty, who was also Dey’s friend.
“All three of them seemed to be having a good time. Who knew they would meet this fate,” said Dey. Rajib, Bodhisatya Dhar and Shankar Das were residents of Shantragachi and good friends.
All three were in the Bolero that plunged down a 1,000ft before coming to rest along the Teesta.
Rajib, an only child and employee of Metro Railway, had left for the trip on December 9. They were supposed to return to Howrah on Friday. “Now they will arrive a day earlier in coffins,” Dey said.
Rajib’s mother, who suffers from a heart ailment, has been shifted to a relative’s house.
Shankar from Santragachhi used to work in a grille factory. His elder brother Subhash said he had not been able to tell his parents about the accident yet. “I don't know what I will do when the bodies arrive,” he said.
Bodhisatya, who owns a chartered bus that runs between Santragachhi and Rabindrasadan, is survived by widowed mother Dipa Dhar, wife Sonali, 32, and six-year-old son Debayan.
“I can never imagine he is coming back in a coffin. I don't know what will happen to us now,” said the mother.
Meena Sarkar from Sonarpur and Mamoni Singh from Purba Barisha were homemkaers.
Meena’s bother-in-law Tapan Sarkar said he had received a call from Asit last night. “My brother said there had been an accident but he could not give much details. Today, I learnt Meena has died. I hope the others are safe. I would like to appeal to the government to ensure that the body reaches us without any hassle,” said Tapan.]
Mamoni had gone to Sikkim with friends, family sources said. Her husband Pradip, 30, a jeweller had not been able to come along because he is extremely busy as this is the wedding season. The couple were childless.

The name Gorkhaland is a misnomer and also may not be appropriate instead we may name it to universalise all races and tribes of the hills, we may finalise it after achieving the statehood, initially we may just say a separate state, Subba said.
Subba repeated that he is observing the political movement and activities of the hills and plains.
जनताले नभनी आन्दोलन गर्दिन-छत्र सुब्बा
मनोज वोगटी, कालिमन्युज, कालेबुङ, 14 दिसम्बर। छत्र सुब्बाले तिनीमाथि गरिएका सम्पूर्ण अनुमानहरूको अन्त्य गरिदिएका छन्। छत्र सुब्बाले कुनै पार्टी खोल्न त परैको कुरा आन्दोलन नै नगर्ने भएका छन्। तिनले आन्दोलन नगर्नुको खास कारण भने जनता रहेको छ। तिनको भनाइ अनुसार अहिले जनताले पैसाको आन्दोलन गरिरहेको छ। तिनले भने, धेरै आए, आन्दोलन गरौं भन्न तर आन्दोलन हात र मुखले मात्र गरिन्न। सबैभन्दा ठूलो कुरा आन्दोलन जब जनताले भन्छ तब गर्नुपर्छ। तीन महिनादेखि म हेरिरहेको छु जनता पैसाको पछि लागेका छन्। मैले कुन जनताको निम्ति आन्दोलन गर्नु? छत्र सुब्बाले नयॉं पार्टी खोल्ने हल्ला अहिले व्यापक छ। तिनलाई विमल गुरूङको विकल्पकोरुपमा पनि धेरैले व्याख्या गरेका छन् तर यथार्थमा भने छत्र सुब्बा आन्दोलन गर्ने पक्षमा छैनन्। बोल्न नमान्दा नमान्दै पनि छत्र सुब्बाले भने, जनताको आकांक्षा पुरा भएन भने आन्दोलन त हुनैपर्छ। तर आन्दोलन भनेको खेलाइँचीको कुरा होइन। आन्दोलन नेताले गर्दैन।
जनताले नेतृत्व तयार पार्नुपर्छ। आन्दोलन गर्नसक्नेलाई जनताले आन्दोलन गर्न लगाउनुपर्छ। नेतृत्वको नियम बुझ्नुपर्छ। पैसा देख्ने वित्तिकै मुद्दा बिर्सनेहरूलाई जनताले साथ धिइसकेको छ। अब जनता आफै आन्दोलनको निम्ति तयार हुनुपर्छ। जनता नै नेताले फ्यॉंकेको पैसाको चारोमा पर्छ भने त्यस्ता जनताको निम्ति आन्दोलन हुँदैन। म पैसाको निम्ति आन्दोलन गर्दिन। तिनले अझ भने, रुपियॉंमा भुलिने आन्दोलन गर्नु हुँदैन। अहिले रुपियॉंमा भुलिने र जनतालाई भुलाउने आन्दोलन भइरहेको छ। जनता सावधान रहनुपर्छ। आन्दोलनको निम्ति पैसा चाहिन्छ, म्यान पावर चाहिन्छ, सिद्धान्त, कार्यनीति र बौद्धिकता चाहिन्छ। त्यो जनताले तयार गर्नुपर्छ, सरकारले होइन। दागोपाप र जीटीएले पनि होइन। जनतालाई पार्टी र नेताले पैसाको निम्ति तयार गर्नु हुँदैन। यसो गर्नु भूल हुन्छ। उसो भए तपाईँ आन्दोलन गर्नु हुन्न त? पत्रकारहरूले सोधेको यो प्रश्नको उत्तरमा तिनले भने, मैले आन्दोलन गर्नुपर्छ भने जनताले भन्नुपर्छ। जनता नै पैसा छोडेर छुट्टै राज्यको निम्ति आउनुपर्छ। व्यक्ति-व्यक्ति, घर-घर, गाउँ-गाउँ, शहर-शहर, टोल टोल एकत्रित भएर एउटै विषयमा जोडिनुपर्छ। जनताले नै नभनी कसरी आन्दोलन गर्नु? मैले आन्दोलन गर्दा कसलाई छुट्टै राज्य चाहिएको छ भनेर देखाउनु? जुन जनतालाई देखाउनुपर्छ, उनीहरू नै पैसामा झुत्तिएका छन्। जनता पैसाको निम्ति नाच्छ। तर जनतालाई छुट्टै राज्य चाहिन्छ र उनीहरू मिलेर अघि आए निश्चय नै आन्दोलन गर्नेछु। पैसा मलाई एलर्जी लाग्छ। पैसाको राजनीति गर्ने भए म 11 वर्ष बस्ने थिइन।
अर्कोतिर तिनलाई युवा मोर्चाको आन्दोलनबारे प्रश्न गर्दा भने, युवा मोर्चा भनेको अलग्गै पार्टी हो? भनेर उल्टै पत्रकारहरूसित तिनले प्रश्न गरे। होइन भने कसरी पत्याउने? जनता जानुन्, तिनले थपे। एकातिर आन्दोलन आफै नगर्ने अनि जनताले चाहेमा निश्चय नै आन्दोलनमा उत्रनै बताउँदै अहिलेसम्मको आन्दोलनमा अघिल्लोतिर जोडिएको गोर्खा शब्दको कारण उपलब्धी हासिल नभएको हो कि भन्ने कुरामा भने बहस हुनुपर्ने तिनले बताए। तिनले भने, आन्दोलनको धार पनि परिवर्तन गर्नुपर्छ। पारम्परिक आन्दोलनले केही हुँदैन। गोर्खा शब्दले अडचन हुँदैछ भन्ने अनुभव भएमा छुट्टै राज्य भनेर आन्दोलन गर्न सकिन्छ। छुट्टै राज्य भने बङ्गालबाट छुट्टिएर हुनुपर्छ। बङ्गालबाट छुट्टिएको राज्यको नाम पछि तय गर्दा हुन्छ।
हात र मुखले मात्र आन्दोलन गर्छु भनेर हुदैन - छत्रे सुब्बा

तिनले कसैले आन्दोलन गर्छु भनेर भन्दैमा नहुने बताउदै आन्दोलन हात र मुखले मात्र नहुने बताउदै अहिले सबै जनताहरु गोर्खाल्याण्डको मुद्दा बिर्सेर पैसाको पछि मात्र कुदिरहेको बताएका छन्| राज्य प्राप्तिको निम्ति आफुले आन्दोलन गर्दा कुनै दिन पैसामा नाभुलिएको अनि आगमी दिनमा पनि पैसाको पछि नाकुदने स्पस्ट पर्दै यदी आन्दोलनकारीहरु पैसामा भुलिन्छन् भने आन्दोलन नगर्दा हुन्छ भनी बताए| छुट्टै राज्यको आन्दोलनलाइ अघि बढाउन जनताले आफुलाई चाहन्छ भने अनि सम्पूर्ण जनताहरु एकबद्ध भएर अघि आए नेतृत्व दिनलाई तयार रहेको पनि स्पष्ट पारे|
हालमा कुनै राजनैतिक पार्टी गठन गर्ने प्रक्रियामा आफु नरहेको बताएपनि भविष्यमा सक्रिय राजनीतिमा उत्रिने तिनले पत्रकारहरुसित कुराकानी गर्दा संकेत दिएका छन्| तिनले छुट्टै राज्यको आन्दोलन गर्दा " गोर्खाल्याण्ड' को नाम दिन उचित नहुन सक्ने विचार व्यक्त गर्दै गोर्खाल्याण्ड भन्दा अन्य जातीका मानिसहरु आक्रोशित हुने गरेको अनि यसले नकारात्मक प्रभाव पर्ने पनि जनाएका छन्|यदि आन्दोलन नै गर्नु हो भने छुट्टै राज्य मात्र भनेर गर्नुपर्ने बताउदै बङ्गालबाट छुटिएपछि मात्र राज्यको नामकारण गर्दा असल हुने पनि सुब्बाले विचार व्यक्त गरे| सुबास घिसिंग हमलाकाण्डको आरोपमा पक्रा परेर एघार वर्ष जेल बसी आरोप मुक्त भएर आएका छत्रे सुब्बाले निक्कै लामो समयपछि आफ्नो मौनता तोडेका छन्| तिनको मौनताले अनेकौ अड्कलबाजी भइरहेकै समयमा मौनता तोडेपछि छत्रेको डर हुनेहरुलाई राहत हुने निश्चित भएको छ| तर त्यो राहत कहिले सम्म हुने हो भन्ने कुरा अहिले नै भन्न सकिंदैन| किन भने हालमा राजनीति गर्ने चाह नभएपनि आगमी दिनमा भने सक्रिय राजनीतिमा ओर्लिने तिनले संकेत दिएका छन्| समयको प्रतिक्षामा बसेका सुब्बाले अब कहिले राजनीतिमा पाइला टेक्नेहुन् छत्रे प्रेमीहरुले प्रतिक्षा गर्नु पर्ने भएको छ |
जीटीए छुट्टै राज्यको मार्गमा बाधा हो-क्रामाकपा
कालिमन्युज, कालेबुङ, 14 दिसम्बर। छुट्टै राज्य गोर्खाल्याण्डको मुद्दा दबाउन गोर्खा जनमुक्ति मोर्चाले गोर्खाहरूको छुट्टै राज्यको समस्याको समाधानको रुपमा जीटीएमा हस्ताक्षर गरेको छ। यो विकास एजेन्सी मात्र थियो भने हाम्रो विरोध हुनेथिएन तर ममता व्यानर्जीले 'बङ्गभङ्ग' होबेना भन्नु र विमल गुरूङसहित तिनका समर्थकहरू नाच्दै त्यसको समर्थन गर्नुको रहस्य अहिले खोलिँदै गइरहेको छ। ममता व्यानर्जीले सम्झौताको बेला 'बङ्गभङ्ग होबेना' भन्नु अब गोर्खाहरूको समस्याको समाधान जीटीएले नै समधान गरेको सन्देश दिनु अनि त्यसमा गोर्खाल्याण्ड आन्दोलनकारीको समर्थन रहेको देखाउनु रहेको आज बुझिँदैछ- डम्बरचोकमा उभिएर धेरै समयपछि क्रामाकपाका युवा सङ्गठन गक्रायुमोका महासचिव अरुण घतानीले आज यसो भने। क्रामाकपाको 16 औं स्थापना दिवसलाई नाचगान र बनभोजको रुपमा नमनाएर क्रामाकपाले पथसभाकोरुपमा मनायो। स्थापना दिवसलाई छेक पारेर क्रामाकपाले जीटीए कसरी छुट्टै राज्यको मार्गमा अवरोध हो अनि जनताको छुट्टै राज्यको मुद्दामाथि कसरी गोर्खा जनमुक्ति मोर्चाले सौदाबाजी गरेको छ भन्ने कुराको खुलासा गर्यो।
ममता व्यानर्जीले स्वीट्जरल्याण्ड देखाएर गोर्खाल्याण्डको मुद्दा दबाएको अनि ममता व्यानर्जीको स्वीट्जरल्याण्डको सपना साकार पार्न मोर्चाले विकास एजेन्सी हातमा लिएको बताउँदै अरुण घतानीले भने, कुरा विकास एजेन्सीसम्मको रहेको भए भन्नु थिएन, तर कुरा मुद्दा दबाउनु रहेकोले क्रामाकपाले जीटीएको विरोध गरिरहेको हो। तिनको भनाइ अनुसार केन्द्रलाई जीटीए देखाएर छुट्टै राज्यको समस्या समाधान भएको प्रचार राज्यले अनि मोर्चाले पनि गरिसकेको छ।
यो कुरा गोर्खाल्याण्ड टास्क फोर्सले बौद्धिक कार्यक्रम गर्दै केन्द्रिय नेताहरूलाई दिल्लीमा भेट्नेक्रममा पत्तो पाइएको हो। किन भने जति पनि केन्द्रिय नेताहरूसित गोर्खाल्याण्ड टास्क फोर्सका प्रतिनिधिहरूले भेटे सबैले 'तपाईँहरूको छुट्टै राज्यको समस्याको त समाधान भइसक्यो त, फेरि के कुरा गर्न आउनु भो?' भनेर जीटीएलाई देखाएको टास्क फोर्सले बारम्बार अहिले बताइरहेको छ। घतानीले पिन्टेल भिलेजमा ममता व्यानर्जीले 'बङ्गभङ्ग होबेना, तापईँहरू जीटीएमा खुशी हुनुहुन्छ?' भनेर सोध्नु अनि मोर्चा समर्थनमा नाच्नुले नै छुट्टै राज्यको मुद्दासित मोर्चाले सौदाबाजी गरेको स्पष्ट पारेको आज बुझिएको कुरामा जोड दिए। किन मोर्चाका विधायकहरू सरकारी बेञ्चमा बसेका हुन्, किन गोर्खाल्याण्डको मुद्दा देखाएर जनतालाई झुक्काउँदै उनीहरूले चुनाउ जिते, किन नगरपालिका चुनाउमा उनीहरू मरिमेटिरहेका छन्, किन भुइँचालोमा पैसा आएन भनेर बिच्किए, किन जीटीए गठन गर्नको निम्ति अनेकौं जालझेल गरिहेको छ भन्ने कुरा पनि अहिले छर्लङ्ग भएको अनि मोर्चाले मुद्दासित सौदाबाजी गरेर गोरामुमोको अवतारमा आफूलाई स्थापित गरेको घतानीले बताए।
तिनले प्रश्न उठाए, आखिर मोर्चालाई के बाध्यता छ? के दागोपापको पैसामा गरिएको भ्रष्टचारबाट बॉंच्न मोर्चाले मुद्दा बेचेर जीटीए थाप्नु परेको हो? मदन तामङको हत्याको मुद्दाबाट बॉंच्न जीटीए थापिएको हो? जब कि जनताले बिसाउनी मागेको छैन, मोर्चाले भने बिसाउनी भनेर किन जीटीए जबरजस्ती थापिरहेको छ? जनताले अब सत्य र असत्यलाई छुट्याउनुपर्छ। मोर्चाको युवा सङ्गठनले गरिरहेको आन्दोलन देखावटी र जनतामा भ्रम उत्पन्न गर्ने चलखेल मात्र बताउँदै घतानीले भने, सॉंच्ची नै छुट्टै राज्यको आन्दोलन युवा मोर्चाले गर्ने थियो भने पिन्टेल भिलेजमा ममता व्यानर्जीले बङ्गभङ्ग होबेना भन्दा विद्रोह गर्न सक्नु पर्थ्यो। माउ सङ्गठन जीटीए भन्दैछ, छोरा सङ्गठन छुट्टै राज्य भन्दैछ, अब युवा मोर्चाले पनि जनतालाई ढॉंट्नु हुँदैन। युवाशक्तिबाट विश्वास उठ्नु राम्रो हुँदैन। घतानीले विधायक डा.हर्कबहादुर छेत्रीलाई उल्लेख गर्दै डा. छेत्रीले आफैले घिसिङका विरोधमा लेखेका लेखहरू पढ्नुपर्ने बताउँदै छेत्री अहिले तानाशाहको भाषा बोल्न थालेको बताए। मोर्चाको युवा इकार्ईले मदन तामङ काण्डमा आरबी राईको फोन ट्यापिङ सार्वजनिक हुनुपर्ने भनेर दिएको बयानको उत्तर दिँदै स्पष्ट पारे, आरबी राईले मोबाइल फोन बोक्दैनन्। अहिले जनताले मदन तामङ मार्नेहरू त घुमिरहेका छन्, आम मान्छे मारेको त कुक्कुर मरेको जस्तो पनि हुँदैन भनिरहेका छन्। यो हो मोर्चाको गणतन्त्र।
हत्या र हिंसाको राजनीति गरेर जनतालाई आतङि्कत गर्दै मोर्चाले मदन तामङ हत्याबाट बॉंच्न नै जीटीए थापेको पनि बताए। आवश्यकतामा क्रामाकपा नै काम लागेको अनि पछि पैसा पाउन थालेपछि मुद्दा र मित्रतालाई धोका दिएको पनि तिनले बताए। सन्तोष प्रधानले जनताले युवा मोर्चा र गक्रायुमोका कार्यक्रमहरूलाई तुलना गरेर हेर्नुपर्ने बताउँदै जीटीएको निम्ति चाप सृष्टि गर्न युवा मोर्चाले छुट्टै राज्य भनिरहेको अनि क्रामाकपाले भने दिल्लीमा छुट्टै राज्यको निम्ति धर्ना दिने कार्यक्रम तयार गरिरहेको बताए। मोर्चा बहुलाएको कुक्कर झैं, छुट्टै राज्य भन्नेहरूसित झम्टिन थालेको भए पनि क्रामाकपाले यसलाई स्वभाविक लिएको तिनले बताए। सुदन प्रधानले युवावर्गले झुटको राजनीतिलाई पश्रय दिनु नहुने बताउँदै पत्यारिलो आन्दोलन गर्नुपर्ने बताए।
तिनले मोर्चामा नै बसेर छुट्टै राज्य भन्दा कसैले पत्याउने कुरा नआउने पनि बताए। छुट्टै राज्यको निम्ति कार्यक्रम गर्नेहरूलाई विथोल्न अनि जनतालाई भ्रममा राख्न नै युवा मोर्चाको आन्दोलन भइरहेको भए पनि केहीदिनमा नै सॉंचो र झुटो कुरा छुट्टिने पनि बताए। मोहन पौड्यालले क्रामाकपाको झण्डा धामी झॉंक्री लगाएर नबनाएको तर श्रमिकको खुनबाट बनिएको बताए भने किशोर प्रधानले गोजमुमोलाई गोरामुमाको अवतार बताए। अरुलाई विकास गर्न जीटीए चाहिएन, दार्जीलिङलाई मात्र किन चाहियो? तिनले प्रश्न उठाउँदै जनताले सही निर्णय र समर्थन गर्नुपर्ने बेला भएको बताए।
जीटीए छुट्टै राज्यको मार्गमा बाधा होइन-सी.के.श्रेष्ठ
कालिमन्युज, कालेबुङ, 14 दिसम्बर। छुट्टै राज्य अनि जीटीएबीचको द्वन्द्वले अब राजनैतिक माहौल गरम गर्ने सम्भावना बढेको छ। पहाडका सम्पूर्ण विपक्ष दल छुट्टै राज्यको माग्रमा जीटीए अवरोध रहेको कुरा गरिरहेका छन् भने सांसद सम्मले नै छुट्टै राज्यको दाबी गर्नु हो भने जीटीए खारेज गर्नुपर्ने बताइरहेका छन्। वास्तवमा राज्य अनि केन्द्र सरकारले जीटीएलाई देखाएर गोर्खाहरूको पुरानो समस्या समाधान भयो भनेर देशभरि गरेको प्रचार नै वास्तवमा छुट्टै राज्यको दाबीको मार्गमा बाधा रहेको छ। तर सांसद जसवन्त सिंहले जीटीएलाई छुट्टै राज्यको बाधक रहेको कुरा गर्नु राजनैतिक सचेत सी.के. श्रेष्टलाई उचित लागेको छैन। तिनले आज एक प्रेस विज्ञप्ति जारी गर्दै भनेका छन्, गोर्खाल्याण्ड चाहिन्छ भने जीटीए सम्झौता रद्द गर्नुपर्छ भनेर दार्जीलिङका सांसद जसवन्त सिंहले भनेका हुन् भने त्यो उनको नासमझीको प्रमाण हो।
यो बयानले छर्लंग हुँदछ जसवन्त सिंहलाई गोर्खाल्याण्ड सम्बन्धी रत्तिभर पनि ज्ञान छैन। ज्ञान भएदेखि यसरी भारतका एक करोडभन्दा बडी गोर्खाहरुको राष्ट्रिय चिह्नारीको जनाकांक्षालाई दार्जीलिङका तीन पहाडी महकुमाको विकाससित जोड़्ने मूर्खता गर्ने थिएनन्। जीटीए भनेको केवल दार्जीलिङ र दार्जीलिङवासीको विकासको मुद्दा हो। सारा भारतका गोर्खाहरुको राष्ट्रिय अनि राजनैतिक चिह्नारीसित यसको कुनै सम्बन्ध नै छैन। त्यसैले गोर्खाल्याण्ड चाहिन्छ भने जीटीएको सम्झौता रद्द गर्नुपर्छ भन्ने बयानले उनको विषयबस्तुप्रतिको अनभिज्ञतालाई स्पष्ट दर्शाउँछ। गोर्खाल्याण्ड टास्क फोर्स अनि पहाडका अन्य दलहरूले जीटीएलाई गोर्खाहरूको छुट्टै राज्यको समस्याको समाधानको सूत्रकोरुपमा व्याख्या गरिएकोले जीटीएलाई छुट्टै राज्य निर्माणको मार्गमा बाधा बताउँदै जीटीएको विरोध गरिरहेका छन् तर सांसद आफैले जीटीए छुट्टै राज्यको मार्गमा अवरोध बताउनुभित्र कुनै वास्तविकता नरहेको दाबी गरेका छन्। वास्तवमा छुट्टै राज्यको सवालमा जीटीएलाई अवरोध रहेको बताउनु नै भूल रहेको सी.के.श्रेष्ठको दाबी छ। श्रेष्ठ अनुसार भारतका प्राय: जसो सबै राज्यहरुमा गोर्खाहरु छरिएर बसेका छन्। सिक्किम राज्यमा बाहेक अन्य सबै राज्यहरुमा अल्पसंख्यक छन्। प्रत्येक राज्यहरुमै राज्य सरकारसित आफ्नो जातिको भविष्य, हित र कल्याणको निम्ति जुझिरहेकै छन्।
गोर्खाहरुको जातीय उत्थानको निम्ति बङ्गालमा मात्र होइन आसाम, पञ्जाब, महाराष्ट्र, उत्तराखण्ड अनि अन्य राज्यहरुमा पनि गोर्खाहरुले संघर्ष चलाइरहेकै छन्। कहीँ स्वशासित व्यवस्थाको निम्ति, कहीँ ओबीसी मान्यताको निम्ति त कहीँ विशिष्ट दर्जाको निम्ति। यस्तै संघर्षहरुको प्रतिफलस्वरुप आसाममा गोर्खा डेभलपमेण्ट काउन्सिल, बङ्गालमा गोर्खा टेरिटोरियल एड्मिनिष्ट्रेशन अनि अन्य राज्यहरुमा विशेष दर्जाहरु प्राप्त गरिएका हुन्। यी सबै राज्य अन्तर्गतका सहुलियतहरु हुन्। गोर्खाल्याण्ड भनेको विषय नै बेग्लै हो। यो राष्ट्रिय स्तरमा बहस गरेर संसदमा छिनोफानो गरिने विषय हो। त्यसैले गोर्खाल्याण्ड मागको निम्ति जीटीए सम्झौता रद्द गर्नुपर्छ भन्नु सरासर अनुचित कुरो हो।
सांसद जसवन्त सिंहले गोर्खाल्याण्डको नाममा चुनाउ लडेर आजसम्म उल्लेखयोग्य एउटै पनि काम गरेका छैनन् अझै उल्टो आफ्नै मतदाताहरुले क्षेत्रिय विकासको निम्ति हासिल गरेको सहुलियतहरुलाई पनि खारेज गर्ने कुरो गर्छन् भने उनलाई दार्जीलिङ समष्टिको सांसद भएर बसिरहने कुनै नैतिक अधिकार छैन। श्रेष्ठले विज्ञप्तिमा लेखेका छन्, अब रह्यो गोर्खाल्याण्ड आन्दोलनलाई फेरि अघि बढाएर लाने कुरो। गोर्खाल्याण्ड आन्दोलनको नेतृत्व चाहे जोसुकैले गरोस्, युवा मोर्चाले गरोस्, नारी मोर्चाले गरोस्, सामूहिक नेतृत्वमा होस् कि राजनैतिक पार्टीले गरोस् तर यस मुद्दाको स्पष्ट र सही अवधारणा बुझेर मात्र गरिनुपर्छ भन्ने कुरोमा दुइ मत हुनै सक्तैन। यो कुन स्तरको मुद्दा हो, कुन स्तरमा पहल गरिनुपर्ने हो, पहल गर्दा कुन विचारको आधारमा पहल गर्नुपर्ने हो भन्ने कुराहरु ऐना झैं छर्लंग हुनुपर्छ।
तिनले बताए अनुसार गोर्खाल्याण्ड भारतका समस्त गोर्खाहरुको राष्ट्रिय चिह्नारीको मुद्दा भनिन्छ भने यो अभियानमा एउटा क्षेत्र विशेषको मात्र गोर्खाहरुको सहभागिता नरहेर भारतभरिकै गोर्खाहरुको संलग्नता रहनु आवश्यक छ कि छैन अनि यो चिह्नारी नपाउँदा भारतमा गोर्खा जातिलाई के खति भइरहेछ अनि पाउँदा के राम्रो हुन्छ भन्ने प्रश्र्नहरुको युक्तिसंगत पत्यारलाग्दो जवाबहरु केके हुन्, यी सबै कुराहरु खुलस्त भएको हुनैपर्छ। त्यत्ति मात्र नभएर आज देशमा राज्य माग गर्ने अन्य दलहरुको समस्या र गोर्खाल्याण्डको समस्यामा कुनै सामञ्जस्यता छ के त? छैन भने किन छैन ? भारतमा अरु जातिले राज्य मागेको र गोर्खाले राज्य मागेको एउटै कारणको निम्ति हो कि होइन? यदि होइन भने उनीहरुसंगै लागेर कहिलेसम्म अनि कहॉंसम्म जान सक्छौं यी कुराहरु पनि बिल्कुल सफा हुनुपर्छ।
अनि सबभन्दा मुख्य कुरो गोर्खाल्याण्डको मुद्दा एउटा नितान्त राजनैतिक मुद्दा हो अनि यसको चुड़ान्त निर्णय पनि केन्द्रमा बागडोर सम्हाल्ने सत्तारुढ़ पार्टीको राजनैतिक इच्छाशक्तिमाथि नै निर्भर गर्छ। श्रेष्ठले के पनि भनेका छन् भने ती पार्टीहरुसितको राजनैतिक सम्बन्ध, सॉंठगॉंठ अनि पारस्परिक विश्र्वासपात्रतालाई सुदृढ़ गर्नलाई के कस्ता आवश्यक कदमहरु चालिए अथवा चालिएकै छैनन् यी कुराहरु पनि मननीय छन्। आजसम्म हात लागेका असफलताहरुलाई यी कुराहरुको उज्यालोमा एकपल्ट केलाएर, मनन अनि चिन्तन गरेर आगामी रणनीतिहरु तयार गर्नु नै गोर्खाल्याण्डको मुद्दा लिएर अघि बढ़्न चाहनेहरुको निम्ति आजको दिनका प्राथमिकताहरु हुन्।

Headlines, KalimNews : 6 people died during an accident at 5th Mile near Mangan. Those died were domestic tourists of Howrah travelling to Mangan and returning from Lhachung in the north Sikkim.

They had called it “winter vacation”, recalled Barun Dey. He had got a call yesterday evening from one of them Rajib Chakraborty, who was also Dey’s friend.
“All three of them seemed to be having a good time. Who knew they would meet this fate,” said Dey. Rajib, Bodhisatya Dhar and Shankar Das were residents of Shantragachi and good friends.
All three were in the Bolero that plunged down a 1,000ft before coming to rest along the Teesta.
Rajib, an only child and employee of Metro Railway, had left for the trip on December 9. They were supposed to return to Howrah on Friday. “Now they will arrive a day earlier in coffins,” Dey said.
Rajib’s mother, who suffers from a heart ailment, has been shifted to a relative’s house.
Shankar from Santragachhi used to work in a grille factory. His elder brother Subhash said he had not been able to tell his parents about the accident yet. “I don't know what I will do when the bodies arrive,” he said.
Bodhisatya, who owns a chartered bus that runs between Santragachhi and Rabindrasadan, is survived by widowed mother Dipa Dhar, wife Sonali, 32, and six-year-old son Debayan.
“I can never imagine he is coming back in a coffin. I don't know what will happen to us now,” said the mother.
Meena Sarkar from Sonarpur and Mamoni Singh from Purba Barisha were homemkaers.
Meena’s bother-in-law Tapan Sarkar said he had received a call from Asit last night. “My brother said there had been an accident but he could not give much details. Today, I learnt Meena has died. I hope the others are safe. I would like to appeal to the government to ensure that the body reaches us without any hassle,” said Tapan.]
Mamoni had gone to Sikkim with friends, family sources said. Her husband Pradip, 30, a jeweller had not been able to come along because he is extremely busy as this is the wedding season. The couple were childless.

Boxer Shiva Thapa an asset of the nation : AAGSU

His outstanding performances in the world junior boxing championship, youth Olympics and several other national and international games are testimony of this boxer to be a asset of the nation. After he stepped in senior section, representing the state and won the historic gold medal recently, the people of Assam is proud of him and has lots of expectation. One ultimate dream for any athlete would be to represent his state and nation in the Olympics. NABARD state credit seminar
PR, KalimNews, 14 December: NABARD projects a credit estimate of Rs. 360.63 crore under priority sector lending in Sikkim during 2012-13 as against the estimate of Rs. 296.12 crore for the current year. The Sikkim State Credit Seminar 2012-13 was organised by NABARD at Hotel Denzong Regency, Gangtok on December 14, 2011 which was inaugurated by Shri D N Takarpa, Hon'ble Minister for Food Security & Agriculture Development, Horticulture & Cash Crops and Parliamentary affairs, Govt of Sikkim, as Chief Guest. The State Focus Paper containing the sector-wise potential credit projections was released by Shri Takarpa on this occasion.
1. Inaugurating the Seminar, the chief guest, Shri D N Takarpa, appreciated NABARD for preparing State Focus Paper as a comprehensive document containing credit projections under priority sector for the state of Sikkim for the year 2012-13. The Hon'ble Minister in his address, stressed upon need for covering all eligible and willing farmers under Kisan Credit Card Scheme and emphasized on need for organising small and marginal farmers into producer group companies to take advantage of scale of economies by linking them directly with input suppliers, processors and retail chains. He specially mentioned the need for accelerating the process of reforms, particularly in the democratic set up and the professionalisation of Short Term Cooperative Credit Structure , to realise the full objectives of the GoI revival package for ST cooperatives.
Shri Takarpa, while acknowledging that the inter-sectoral distribution of credit estimates presented by NABARD are reflective of the Government’s ongoing thrust, he expressed confidence that the discussions in the seminar will result in identifying the action points for various stakeholders with regard to achieving the credit projections.
2. Shri P C Chaudhri, General Manager, NABARD informed that in its endeavor to support the efforts for holistic and inclusive development in rural areas, NABARD, during the year 2010-11, provided financial assistance to the tune of Rs.52.60 crore for Agriculture and Rural Development in the State of Sikkim during 2010-11, thus, recording a growth of 15.38 % over the year 2009-10. Of the total support, Rs.10.60 crore (20%) was provided towards Investment Credit as refinance covering Farm and Non Farm sector activities to Sikkim State Cooperative Bank. Rs. 2 crore which constitutes 4 % of the total support, was extended to Sikkim State Cooperative Bank to meet the Short-term Credit needs of farmers for carrying out crop production and other activities. Under the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF), Rs. 40 crore was disbursed to Government of Sikkim for creation of various infrastructure like roads, bridges, irrigation works and veterinary hospitals etc.
3. Since the inception of RIDF, 1220 projects have been sanctioned in Sikkim , with RIDF loan of Rs. 476 crore. As against this, a sum of Rs. 210 crore has so far been released to the State, by way of loans under Rural Infrastructure Development Fund. Shri Chaudhri stated that there is need for further diversification of activities under RIDF as the major fund flow is so far directed to rural connectivity, irrigation and rural drinking water supply only. RIDF support has been adversely affected due to the restricted borrowing power of the State Government under Article 293(3) of the Constitution of India.
4. Out of the total Priority Sector credit projections of Rs. 360.63 crore for the year 2012-13, the major share is of other priority sector at 64% ( Rs. 233.17 crore), followed by crop loan at 15% ( Rs. 53.41 crore), agricultural and allied sector term loan (for Land Development, Irrigation, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries etc.)at 13 % (Rs. 45.58 crore) and non farm sector (NFS) at 8 % (Rs. 28.47 crore). This represents increase of 22% over 2011-12 State Focus Paper projections (Rs. 296.12 crore).
5. NABARD has sanctioned 02 WADI projects ,one in South Sikkim to KVK, Namthang and one in East Sikkim to UPOS, an NGO covering areas of 360 acres. These projects will benefit 700 tribal households through development of orange, guava and Lime orchards.
6. In view of facing the challenges in food security maintenance, NABARD has sanctioned a project with grant assistance to the KVK for system of rice intensification (SRI) covering 44 hectares area and 152 farmers of 06 villages in South Sikkim district.
7. With a view to give practical exposure on marketing complexities and building confidence for negotiating with buyers, NABARD sponsored ten farmers through SIMFED to participate in the India- International Food & Agri-Expo 2011 at Kochi, Kerala last month for showcasing organic products of State of Sikkim and promoting Sikkim as Organic State to the domestic and international buyers.
8. Shri A K Yadav, IAS, Development Commissioner, Shri K N Bhutia, IAS, Commissioner-cum- Secretary, Finance, Revenue & Expenditure, Shri A K Ganeriwala, Secretary, Rural Management & Development Department, Shri E E Karthak, GM, RBI and Convener, SLBC were among those who participated in the seminar.
9. Senior officials from Commercial banks, State Cooperative banks and different departments of State Government & Govt. of India were also present in the seminar.
Disaster drill for buildings - Survey on to mark unsafe structures
TT, Siliguri, Dec. 14: All buildings in Siliguri which are structurally unsafe or lack proper safety tools will soon be asked to make necessary alterations and put in place equipment to withstand earthquakes and fight fires.
The Darjeeling district administration is checking the disaster preparedness of building as the Siliguri civic body continued with its drive to crack down on hospitals.
The authorities are carrying out a survey on all government and commercial buildings, which are frequented by a large number of people. The administration will also help traders carry out mock drills to tackle emergencies.
The survey will help compile a list of structures that do not have contingency plans and pose a threat to people because of anomalies in construction.
“After the tremor that rocked the region on September 18, we have been identifying such buildings. Now that the AMRI fire has claimed the lives of many, we will expedite the process and bring out the final list in a fortnight. Once the list is ready, notices will be served on the owners of such buildings, recommending appropriate changes to make the structures safe,” said Darjeeling district magistrate Saumitra Mohan.
He held a meeting here this afternoon with officials of different departments and representatives of trade bodies.
“We are primarily focusing on buildings where people assemble in large numbers. These include nursing homes, cinemas and shopping malls. Departments like fire services, PWD and health are carrying out the survey,” said Mohan.
At the meeting, representatives of business bodies like the Focin and the CII were asked to chalk out their own contingency plans for different markets in Siliguri.

The Siliguri Municipal Corporation, on the other hand, inspected five nursing homes here today to see if fire-fighting measures were in place. The inspections were carried out by a team led by Debsankar Saha, member, mayor-in-council (trade licence).
“Most of the clinics do not have any fire safety arrangements. There are no emergency exits, and basements which are meant for parking vehicles have been used for other purposes. We were surprised to see an LPG cylinder inside an operation theatre,” said Saha.
Even as the civic body was cracking whip on the errant nursing homes, the Siliguri District Hospital is functioning without basic fire-fighting tools. The hospital has just 20 fire extinguishers, which were put in place during the fortnight-long Citizen Centric Week last month.
“We installed around 20 fire extinguishers in the hospital in early November. Prior to that, there was no equipment to deal with a blaze at the hospital,” said Subir Bhowmik, the chief medical officer of health of Darjeeling.
“It is true that we have no other basic tools like fire alarms and sprinklers.”
The district hospital has 320 beds and caters for more than 700 patients a day in 10 outpatient departments.
After the AMRI tragedy, 37 of 350 staff members were given training in fire-fighting.
“The second batch will be trained in a day or two. We want all the nurses and the Group D staff to undergo the training,” the CMOH said.
Disaster drill for buildings - Survey on to mark unsafe structures
TT, Siliguri, Dec. 14: All buildings in Siliguri which are structurally unsafe or lack proper safety tools will soon be asked to make necessary alterations and put in place equipment to withstand earthquakes and fight fires.

The authorities are carrying out a survey on all government and commercial buildings, which are frequented by a large number of people. The administration will also help traders carry out mock drills to tackle emergencies.
The survey will help compile a list of structures that do not have contingency plans and pose a threat to people because of anomalies in construction.
“After the tremor that rocked the region on September 18, we have been identifying such buildings. Now that the AMRI fire has claimed the lives of many, we will expedite the process and bring out the final list in a fortnight. Once the list is ready, notices will be served on the owners of such buildings, recommending appropriate changes to make the structures safe,” said Darjeeling district magistrate Saumitra Mohan.
He held a meeting here this afternoon with officials of different departments and representatives of trade bodies.
“We are primarily focusing on buildings where people assemble in large numbers. These include nursing homes, cinemas and shopping malls. Departments like fire services, PWD and health are carrying out the survey,” said Mohan.
At the meeting, representatives of business bodies like the Focin and the CII were asked to chalk out their own contingency plans for different markets in Siliguri.
