कालेबुङ कलेजमा आएको पैसा झट्ट प्रयोग गर्नुपर्छ – तारा सुन्दास  डी के वाइबा, कालिमन्युज,कालेबुङ ७ नोभेम्बर : कालेबुङ कलेजमा विगत वर्ष २०१० मा पुस्तकालय निर्माणको निम्ति पश्चिम बंगाल सरकारबाट आएको ४५ लाख रुपिया आज सम्म प्रयोग नगरेकोमा गारजेन फोरमले प्रशन उठाएको छ। फोरमका सल्लाहाकार तथा माकपा नेता तारा सुन्दासले आज उक्त कुराको खुलासा गर्दै विद्यार्थीहरुको हितमा आएको पैसा कलेज कर्तृ पक्षले प्रयोग नगर्नु उचित नरहेको बताए। पुस्तकालय निर्माण भए विद्यार्थीहरुले थुप्रै सुबिधाहरु उठाउन सक्ने दाबी गर्दै यो विद्यार्थीहरुको निम्ति दुर्भाग्यको कुरा रहेको पनि तिनले जनाए। हाल पहाडको शैक्षिक स्तर दिन प्रति दिन घट्दै गएको कुरा प्रति पनि तिनले चिन्ता व्यक्त गरे। सुन्दासले कलेजमा आएको पैसा कसैको पेवा नरहेको ठोकुवा गर्दै कतिपय मानिसहरुको स्वार्थमा प्रयोग नगरेर राखिरहेको पनि आरोप लगाए।पहाडको शैक्षिक स्तर बडाउन सम्पूर्ण मानिसहरु सचेत हुन पर्ने आह्वान पनि तिनले गरे भने शिक्षको बिषयमा कसैले पनि राजनीति गर्नु नहुने पनि बताए। पुस्तकालय निर्माणको निम्ति आएको पैसा कलेज कर्तृ पक्षले कलेजको खातामा जमा गरिसकेको पनि तिनले पत्रकारहरुलाई बताए। सरकारले दिएको पैसा प्रयोग गर्नमा कलेज सञ्चालन समितिले किन ढिलाई गरिरहेको भन्ने प्रश्न गर्दै यसको निम्ति अबिलम्ब टेण्डर गरिनु पर्ने पनि सुनदासले माग गरे। कतिपय मानिसहरुले आफ्नो स्वार्थ हेरेर उक्त पैसा बिना टेण्डर प्रयोग गर्न खोजिरहेको पनि सुन्दासले आरोप लगाउँदै यदि सरकारले दिएको पैसा बिना टेण्डर प्रयोग गरे कलेज सञ्चालन समितिलाई मुद्दा ठोक्ने पनि तिनले चेतावनी दिए। आगामी केही दिनमा यता उच्च शिक्षा मन्त्री कालेबुङ आउने योजना रहेको बताउँदै शिक्षा मन्त्रीको आगामनमा कलेज पक्षले पुस्तकालयको आधारशिला राखेर उक्त सरकारी पैसाको दुरुप्रयोग गर्ने षडयन्त्र गरिरहेको पनि तिनले आरोप लगाए। यदि बिना टेण्डर आधर शिला राखेर निर्माण कारय शुरु गरे गारजेन फोरम कानुनी प्रक्रियामा जान बाध्य हुने पनि तिनले जनाए। यसै सन्दर्भमा तिनले बंगाल सरकारले पहाडको शिक्षा बिषयमा कोल्टे निति अप्नाएको पनि आरोप लगाए। तिनले हाल बंगाल सरकारले राज्य भरिको शिक्षा ब्यवस्थामा सुधार ल्याउन एउटा समिति बनाएको तर उक्त समितिले पनि पहाडको समस्याहरुबारे कार्य नगरेक पनि आरोप लगाए। उक्त समितिले केहि दिन अघि सिलगडीको बिद्यालय र महाबिद्यालयहरुमा आएर सम्पूरण समस्याहरुबारे जाकार्यनकारी लिएको बताउँदै यता पहाडका बिद्यालय र महाबिद्यालयहरुको भने जानकारी नलिएको पनि बताए। यस कार्यले पहाडको शिक्षा व्यवस्थाबारे बंगालको कोल्टे नीति स्पष्ट भएको पनि सुन्दासले जनाए। महाविद्यालयपक्षलाई कठघरामा उभ्याउने सुन्दासको चेतावनी मनोज बोगटी, कालिमन्युज, कालेबुङ, 7 नोभेम्बर। कालेबुङ महाविद्यालयमा लाब्रेरी भवनको निम्ति गत वर्षको नोभेम्बरमा नै आएको 45 लाख रूपिँयाको टेण्डर आजसम्म नभएकोमा गार्जीयन फोरम फर एडुकेशनको पक्षबाट सहल्लाहकार तारा सुन्दासले आपत्ती जनाएका छन्। तिनीअनुसार माकपा सरकारले गत वर्षको नोभेम्बर महिनामा नै लाब्रेरी भवन निर्माणको निम्ति महाविद्यालयलाई 45 लाख रूपिँया प्रदान गरिसकेको छ। महाविद्यालयले आएको राशिलाई आफ्नो एकाउण्टमा पनि सारिसकेको छ। कालेबुङ महाविद्यालयमा लाइबे्ररीको निम्ति सरकारले 90 लाख रूपिँया अनुमोदन गरेको र पहिलो चरणको कार्यको निम्ति 45 लाख रूपिँया दिएको भएपनि वर्षदिन बितिसक्दा पनि टेण्डर समेत नहुनुमा महाविद्यालयपक्षमाथि नै सुन्दासले शंका गरेका छन्। महाविद्यालयका दुइचारजना टेण्डर नगराउने पक्षमा रहेको आरोप लगाउँदै तिनले भने, यो कसैले ल्याएको पैसा होइन पहाडको शिक्षालाई उन्नत बनाउ सरकारले दिएको पैसा हो। वर्षदिनसम्म 45 लाखको व्याज खॉंदै काम शुरू गर्न त परैको कुरा टेण्डर पनि नगर्नु के हो? तिनले प्रश्न तेर्साए। तिनले महाविद्यालयपक्ष टेण्डर नै नगरी भित्रभित्रै काम गर्ने पक्षमा रहेको आरोप लगाउँदै भने, 11 नोभेम्बरको दिन शिक्षा मन्त्री कालेबुङ आउने सम्भावना छ। त्यसबेला मन्त्रीको हातबाट लाइब्रेरी भवनको शिलान्यास गरेर महाविद्यालयपक्ष टेण्डर नगराउने पक्षमा छ। यदि महाविद्यालयले सरकारबाट आएको पैसालाई टेण्डर नगरीकन काम शूरू गरे महाविद्यालय सञ्चालन समितिलाई नै कठघरामा उभ्याउने तिनले चेतावनी दिए। सभापति अनि सचिवविरूद्ध नै कोर्टमा मुद्दा दर्ता गर्ने तिनले चेतावनी दिएका छन्। महाविद्यालयपक्षले भवनमा रङ्ग पोत्न सम्ममात्र सक्षम भएको विल्डिङ कमिटी देखाएर टेण्डर नगरी काम शूरू गर्ने योजना बनाएकोले यस्तो गरे उचित नहुने जनाए। उच्च शिक्षामा परिवर्तन ल्याउन बङ्गाल सरकारले उच्च शिक्षा विषयक कमिटी गठन गरेको भएपनि कमिटिले पहाडको शिक्षा प्रणालीमाथि कुनै ध्यान नै नदिएको आरोप लागाए। गत 9 नोभेम्बरमा कमिटिले सिलगडीको महाविद्यालयहरूमा गएर निरीक्षण गरेको भएपनि दार्जीलिङ पहाडको महाविद्यालयहरूमा भने पाइला नटेकेको बताउँदै सुन्दासले आपत्ती जनाए। दार्जीलिङ पहाडमा रहेको विद्यालय भवनहरू अवस्था दिनोदिन सोंचनीय बन्दै गइरहेको बताउँदै कमिटीले पहाडको शिक्षा प्रणालीमाथि पनि जोड दिनुपर्ने बताए। कालेबुङ महाविद्यालयको यसपल्टको परीक्षा परिणामप्रति पनि तिनले असन्तोष व्यक्त गर्दै यसप्रति महाविद्यालयपक्षको उदासीनताप्रति पनि प्रश्न उठाए। नोभेल्टी परिसरमा मल्टिकप्लेक्स बनाउने योजना 37 परिवारले मोर्चालाई माग्यो तीनदिनको समय मनोज बोगटी, कालिमन्युज, कालेबुङ, 7 नोभेम्बर। नोभेल्टी परिसरमा रहेको 37 वटा घरहरूलाई तोडेर अत्याधुनिक मल्टिकम्प्लेक्स बनाउने मोर्चाको योजना क्षेत्रबासीहरूको विरोधको कारण अहिलेसम्म पुरा हुन सकेको छैन। नोभेल्टी परिसरमा रहेको मॉं सन्तोषी टोलमा मोर्चाले मल्टिकम्प्लेक्स अनि उच्चस्तरीय मोटर स्ट्याण्ड बनाउने योजना बनाएको छ तर टोलमा रहेको 37 परिवारलाई त्यहॉंबाट अन्यत्र स्थान्तरण गरे मात्र योजना अघि बढ्ने छ। मोर्चाको पक्षमा योजना बनाइए पनि स्थानीयहरूले पुर्खाको बास रहेको क्षेत्र योजनाको निम्ति छोड्न नसक्ने भएपछि विवाद शुरू भएको थियो। पीडब्ल्युडी विभागले केही परिवारलाई घर हटाउने निर्देश गरेपछि बढेको विवाद मोर्चा अध्यक्ष विमल गुरूङले पनि साम्य गर्न सकेका थिएनन्। क्षेत्रबासीले पुर्खौदेखि बस्दै आइरहेको क्षेत्रमा बिकास नै गर्ने हो भने पनि उनीहरूको भविष्य निश्चित गर्न मात्र होइन उनीहरूलाई जीविकोपार्जन गर्ने अनि बसोबासो गर्ने थलोको पनि ब्यवस्था गरिनुपर्ने बताएक छ्न्। उनीहरूको पुर्खाको पालोमा पनि यसै क्षेत्रमा स्ट्याण्ड बनाउन अघिल्लो प्रशासनले घर हटाउने नोटिश दिँदा प्रशासन र ग्रामबासीबीच मुद्दा नै चलेको जसमा जीत क्षेत्रवासीको भएको थियो। किन भने मॉं सन्टोषी टोल न त नगरपालिकाको हो न त पीडब्ल्युडीको नै हो। मोर्चाको प्रस्तावको कारण निर्वासनको परिस्थिति आएकोले मॉं सन्तोषी टोलले यसपल्ट पनि मुद्दा दर्ता गरिसकेको छ। यता गोर्खा जनमुक्ति मोर्चाले भने दुवैपक्षमा कुनै नोक्सान नहुने अनि दुवैको पक्षमा न्याय हुने किसिमको सहमति खोजी रहेको छ। यसैकारण यसबारेमा मोर्चाले बारम्बार नै क्षेत्रवासीसित बैठक गरिरहेको छ। अघिल्लो बैठक निष्कर्षहीन रहेपछि ग्रामबासीले सरसल्लाह गरेर मोर्चालाई निर्णय दिइने भएको थियो तर दुइचार परिवारको अनुपस्थितिले ग्रामबासीले मोर्चालाई कुनै निर्णय आज दिन सकेन। किनभने मोर्चालाई अघिल्लो बैठकमा ग्रामबासीले आजको दिनमा नै कुनै न कुनै निर्णय दिने बताएको थियो। आज कुनै निर्णय दिन नसकेकोले नै ग्रामबासीले मोर्चालाई निर्णयको निम्ति तीनदिनको समय मागेको छ। बिहिबार क्षेत्रवासीले यसबारे निर्णय दिने बताइएको छ। मोर्चा र ग्रामबासीबीच आज बसेको बैठक निष्कर्षहीन रह्यो। यद्यपि बिहिबार मोर्चाले निर्णय सकरात्मक हुने आशा गरेको छ। मोर्चा कालेबुङका सचिव शुभ प्रधानले बताए अनुसार ग्रामवासीलाई मल्टिकम्प्लेक्स बनाइसकिएपछि माथ्लो तलामा स्ट्याण्ड बनाएर तल्लो तलाको पछिल्लोतिर ग्रामवासीलाई पसलको निम्ति स्टल प्रदान गर्ने अनि त्यसको मालिकाना हक दिएपछि मात्र घरहरू तोडिने मोर्चाले ग्रामवासीलाई प्रस्तावना राखेको छ। प्रधानले भने, सोही बिषयमा आज पनि ग्रामवासीसित बैठक भयो। दीर्घमियादी समस्या रहेकोले एक दुइ बैठकले नै यसको निर्णय आउन सक्दैन। आज पनि मोर्चाको पक्षबाट प्रस्तावना राख्ने काम भयो। उनीहरूको निर्णय सकरात्मक आउेन संकेत मिलेको छ। मोर्चा उपाध्यक्ष कल्याण देवान अनुसार गोजमुमोको बिकास गर्ने अभियानमा कसैलाई पनि अन्याय गरिने छैन। बरू उनीहरूलाई मौका, सुविधा र सहुलियत दिन मोर्चा लागीपरेको छ। तिनले भने, कालेबुङका जनताको हितको निम्ति यो कम्प्लेक्स बनाइने छ। यसैबाट क्षेत्रवासीको निम्ति आर्थिक आधार निर्माण गर्ने सोंच पनि मोर्चाको रहेको छ। सहमति हुने कुरा चलिरहेको भए पनि क्षेत्रवासीमा भने निक्कै त्रास फैलिएर गएको छ। उनीहरू अनुसार पुर्खादेखि बसेको घर तोडिनेछ। स्टल केवल पसलको निम्ति दिने हुनसक्छ तर उनीहरूको घर नै तोडिने भएकोले उनीहरुले अहिलेदेखि नै बास्को समस्या हुने समस्याले असुरक्षाको भावनाको बोध गरिरहेका छन्। टोलका छिमेकी कल्याण संघका अध्यक्ष प्रवीण मोथेले बताए अनुसार निर्णय गर्नअघि धेरै कुरा बुझ्न र जान्न अनिवार्य छ। एक्लैले गर्ने निर्णय नरहेकोले निर्णयमा सम्पूर्ण क्षेत्रवासीको सहमति अनिवार्य छ। मोर्चालाई केही न केही निर्णय सुनाउन नै पर्छ। यसको निम्ति हाम्रो बैठकहरू चलिरहेको छ। कालेबुङको भविष्यको निम्ति नै विकास गर्नु हो भने यहॉं सॉंघुरो ठाउँमा बनाइएको मल्टिकम्प्लेक्स र स्ट्याण्ड पर्याप्त नरहेको अनि भविष्यमा वाहनहरूको संख्या बढ्ने अनि यहॉं बनाइएको स्ट्याण्डले नपुग्ने विषयमा उनीहरूले मोर्चालाई पनि अवगत गराइरहेको पनि मोथेले जनाएका छन्। क्षेत्रवासीको भविष्यको सवाल अनि मोर्चाको विकासको सपनाबीच बिहिबार आउने निर्णय धेरै महत्वपूर्ण देखिएको त छ नै अर्कोपक्षबाट हेर्नु हो भने बिहिबार पनि निर्णय चुडांत निर्णयमा पुग्न नसक्ने सम्भावना नै बढी देखिएको छ। त्री मूर्ती पुरास्कारले सम्मानित कृष्णचन्द्र सिह मोक्तान र मोहन ठकुरीलाई कालेबुङमा सम्मान डी के वाइबा, कालिमन्युज,कालेबुङ ७ नोभेम्बर : श्री सत्य साई सेवा समिति कालेबुङ समितिको आयोजनामा आज यहाँको रामकृष्ण रंगमञ्चमा त्रिमूर्ती साहित्यिक पुरस्कार द्वारा बिभूषीत कृष्ण चन्द्र सिहं मोक्तान अनि मोहन ठकुरीलाई सम्मान जनाईयो। सम्मानित व्यक्तित्व द्वयलाई पहिले नगर परिक्रमा गराएर नागारिक अभिवादन जनाईने कार्य सम्पन्न भयो। यहाँको रामकृष्ण रंगमञ्चमा सम्पन्न उक्त कार्यक्रममा बिभिन्न स्थानबाट साई अनुनायीहरुको ब्यापक उपस्थिति रहेको थियो। कार्यक्रर्मलाई खगेन्द्र प्रधानले अध्यक्षता गरेका थिए भने मुख्य अथितिका रुपमा सम्मानित व्यक्ति कृष्ण चन्द्र मोक्तान उपस्थित रहेका थिए। यसका साथै बिशिष्ट अथितिका रुपमा कवि मोहन ठकुरी,कवियत्री सानुमति राई उपस्थित रहेका थिए। श्री सत्य साई मन्दिरमा दमुख्य अतिथिको बाहुलीबाट दीप प्रज्वलन अनि साई बाबाको तस्बीरमा माल्य अर्पण गरेपछि प्रमुख अतिथिलाई सुसज्जि वहानमा चडाएर नगर परिक्रमा गराईयो।   यस अवसरमा साई भक्तजनहरुले भजन गाउँदै नगर परिक्रमा गराएर तिनलाई कार्यक्रम स्थल सम्म पुराइयो। कार्यक्रममा मुख्य अथिति मोक्तानलाई सानुमति राईको बाहुलीबाट सम्बर्द्धना पत्र तथा स्मृति चिन्ह अनि सभाध्यक्ष खगेन्द्र प्रधानको भाहुलीबाट अंग वस्त्र औडाएर सम्मान जनाइयो भने बिशिष्ट अतिथि मोहन ठकुरीलाई सानुमति राईले स्मृति चिन्ह अनि मुख्य अतिथिको बाहुलीबाट अंग वस्त्र औडाएर सम्मान गरियो। यस अवसरमा सम्मानित व्यक्तित्व द्वयलाई कार्यक्रममा उपस्थित मानिसहरुले पनि खदा माला लगाएर सम्मान जनाए। कार्यक्रमलाई संचालन गर्दै कवियत्री बिन्द्या सुब्बाले सम्मानित ब्यक्तित्व द्वयको परिचय पठन गरे भने विवेक केसर पाणडेले कृष्ण चन्द्र सिंह मोक्तानको व्यक्तित्व माथि प्रकाश पारे। तिनले मोक्तान कारा बिभागको आई जी हुनुको साथै साईको अग्रदुत कसरि बन्न सके भन्ने बारेमा मानिसहरुलाई अवगत गराए। कसैलाई नराम्रो भनेर गाली नगर्ने मोक्तान आफ्नो सेवाकालमा समेत कैदिहरुको मनमा पसेर प्रेमका कुराहरु गर्ने गरेको बताउँदै यो साईको कृपाले नै भएको पनि तिनले बताए। जेलमा अहिले बिहान भजन गरने जुन संस्कार छ त्यो मोक्तानले नै बसाएको पनि तिनले बताए। यसै क्रममा बिशिष्ट अतिथि मोहन ठकुरीले पनि मोक्तानको साहित्यिक र आध्यात्मिक जीवनबारेमा मानिसहरुलाई अवगत गराए। तिनको जीवनमा आध्यत्म र साहित्य परसपर समान रुपले मिलेको भगवान साईकै कृपाले हो भनि मोहन ठकुरीले जनाए। यसै क्रममा कवि ठकुरीले कृष्ण चन्द्र सिहं मोक्तानको साहित्यिक योगदानको पनि चर्चा गरे। अर्कोतिर मुख्य अतिथि कृष्ण चन्द्र सिंह मोक्तानले सम्बोधन गर्दे आफुलाई कालेबुङका मानिसहरुले सम्मान गरेको आभर ब्यक्त गरे। तिनले अध्यात्म बारे बोल्दै मानिसहरु आ आफ्नो कार्यमा समर्पित हुनु नै वास्तमा आध्यात्मिक हुनु हो भने। मानिसहरु साईमा समर्पित हुनु भनेको आफेलाई परिवर्तन गर्नु हो भन्दै संधै राम्रो कुराको निम्ति मानिसहरुले परिवर्तन आफैलाई गर्नु पर्छ भने। तिनले साहित्य र अध्यात्मको गहिरो सम्बन्ध रहेको बताउँदै गहन साहित्य नै अध्यात्म हो भनि जनाए। श्री सत्य साई सेवा सङ्गठनद्वारा कृष्णसिंह मोक्तानलाई अभ्यर्थना मोहन ठकुरीलाई सम्मान मनोज बोगटी, कालिमन्युज, कालेबुङ, 7 नोभेम्बर। साई आन्दोलनका अग्रदूत कृष्णसिंह मोक्तानलाई श्री सत्य साई सेवा सङ्गठन कालेबुङ महकुमाले आज एक कार्यक्रमबीच अभ्यर्थना जनायो। साई भक्त अनि सङ्गठनहरूको निम्ति एक तीर्थस्थल नै बनेका सिंह दार्जीलिङमा साई अवधारणा र श्री सत्य साई बाबाका आध्यात्मिक चेतनाको बिकास गर्ने पहिलो भक्त हुन्। यसैकारण नै साई सङ्गठनहरूले वरिष्ठ साहित्यकार मोक्तानलाई आध्यात्मिक जगतका एक सन्त पुरुषकोरुपमा नै मान्ने गरेका छन्। बाघधारास्थित साई निलयमबाट साई गङ्गोत्रीको अलङ्कारले विभूषित मोक्तानलाई साईभक्तहरूले रथमा चढाएर नगरपरिक्रमा गराए। शोभायात्रा रामकृष्ण रङ्गमञ्चमा समाप्त गरियो। पहिलोचरणको कार्यक्रमपछि रामकृष्ण रङ्गमञ्चमा दोस्रो चरणको कार्यक्रम सम्पन्न भयो। खगेन्द्र प्रधानको अध्यक्षतामा सम्पन्न कार्यक्रममा मुख्य अतिथि एवं आकर्षणको केन्द्रविन्दु सम्वर्धित व्यक्ति कृष्णसिंह मोक्तान थिए भने विशिष्ट अतिथिकोरुपमा प्रवुद्ध कवि मोहन ठकुरी, गाउँबुढा उपाधिले विभूषित सानुमति राई, अधिवक्ता एवं साई दर्पणका सल्लाहकार विवेककेशर पाण्डे अनि सिक्किम साई समितिका राज्य अध्यक्ष रतन प्रधान उपस्थित थिए। अभ्यर्थना कार्यक्रमलाई सम्बोधन गर्दै प्रवक्ता विवेककेशर पाण्डेले मोक्तानको मिमांसा जीवनी प्रस्तुत गरे। सम्बोधन गर्ने क्रममा तिनले अझ भने, नेपाली समाजमा एक दृष्टान्तकोरुपमा कोही पनि अघि आएको छैन। जबकि अन्य जातिहरूमा हेर्दा अनेकौं दृष्टान्तहरू छन् तर नेपाली समाजमा भने भनेजस्तो उदाहरणकोरुपमा उभिने व्यक्तित्व नै छैनन्। यस्तो स्थितिमा कृष्णसिंह मोक्तान यस्ता नाम हुन् जो हाम्रो निम्ति एक प्रतिष्ठानको रुपमा विराजमान छन्। साहित्य, आध्यात्मलाई एकीकृत गरेर जीवनको हरेकपक्षलाई मानव कल्याणको निम्ति समर्पित गर्नु नै मोक्तानको जीवन दर्शन रहेको पनि पाण्डेले बताए। यता मोहन ठकुरीले पनि मोक्तानमाथि भनिरहेका थिए, सरल, सुवोध, मृदूभाषी, कोमल, विनय अनि प्रेमको पुञ्ज नै मोक्तान हुन्। यता चर्चित उपन्यासकार विन्द्या सुब्बाले पनि मोक्तानलाई आध्यात्मिक गुरू अनि मानव मुल्य संस्थापक रहेको जनाइरहेकी थिइन्। मोक्तानलाई कार्यक्रमबीच दोसल्ला ओडाएर अभ्यर्थना जनाइयो भने तिनलाई प्रशस्तिपत्र अनि स्मृति चिह्न प्रदान गरियो। अभ्यर्थना जनाउने क्रममा नेपाली साहित्यका चर्चित कवि मोहन ठकुरीलाई पनि सम्मान जनाइयो। तिनलाई पनि प्रशस्तिपत्र अनि स्मृति चिह्न प्रदान गरियो। यसैबीच कार्यक्रमलाई अझ रोचक बनाउन भजन गायक अजनिश राई अनि तिनकी श्रीमति मेघना राईले ठूलो भूमिका निर्वाह गरेका थिए। गायक अजनिशको भजन सुनेर उपस्थित श्रोताहरू मन्त्रमुग्ध बने। कालेबुङ ललित नित्य छन्दमका साहित्यकारहरू चोर हुन्, किन भने उनीहरू कसैको मनभित्र पस्छन्, खोतल्छन् अनि मानव मूल्य स्थापनाको निम्ति पात्रहरूको निर्माण गर्छन्। मोक्तानले आफ्नो जीवनमा आइरहने प्रश्नहरूको साझा उत्तरको निम्ति यसो भनिरहेका थिए। 5 वर्ष प्रभुनान्दको आश्रममा बिताएर जीवन मुल्यको निर्माण गर्दै यहॉंसम्म आइरहेका मोक्तानले त्यसबेलाको कुरा झिकिरहेका थिए जतिबेला तिनी जेलर थिए। त्यसताक नक्सलाइटहरूको जगजगीमा तिनलाई जुन दायित्व प्रदान गरिएको थियो, त्यो पाटोलाई हेर्नेहरूले कसरी एक जना निष्ठुर, हत्यारा, अपराधीहरू र चोरहरूसित जुझ्ने पुलिस कोमल सिर्जनाहरूको सर्जक हुनसक्छन्? भन्ने प्रश्न गर्ने गरेको बताउँदै तिनले भने, म को हुँ भन्ने कुरा बुझ्नेलाई वास्तवमा कुनै पनि परिस्थितिले दास बनाउँदैन। मोक्तानले सर्जकहरूको अन्तिम लक्ष्य मानवमूल्य स्थापना नै हुने बताउँदै भने, अध्ययन गर्नेहरू विद्वान हुन सक्छन् तर विद्वान हुनु नै पर्याप्त होइन। उसलाई म को हू भन्ने कुराको बोध छैन भने त्यो विद्वान केवल आफ्नो निम्ति मात्र हुन्। मोक्तानले साईसंसर्गले उकासेको चेतना तिनकै अन्तरमा रहेको आध्यात्मिकताको पराकाष्ठा रहेको बताइरहेका थिए। तिनले भने, सर्जकहरू वास्तवमा भगवान हुन्। कविहरू ईश्वर हुन्। उनीहरू भविष्यवक्ता हुन्। कुनै पनि साहित्यकार तब मात्र सफल बनेका छन् जो आध्यात्मिक छन्। तिनको कुरालाई पुष्टि गर्न विवेककेशर पाण्डेले भनिरहेका थिए, कृष्णसिंह मोक्तानभित्र यस्तो आध्यात्म छाम्न सक्छौं जसले केवल दार्जीलिङ, कालेबुङमा मात्र होइन कोलकाताका अनेकौं जेलहरूमा भजन किर्तन गर्ने संस्कार शुरू गरे। जस्तै अपराधीहरूले पनि अहिले झेलहरू वा शंशोधनागारहरुमा भजन गाईरहेका हुन्छन्। आध्यात्मलाई जीवनमा रुपान्तरण गर्ने एक मात्र जिउँदो दृष्टान्त मोक्तान हुन्। यता मोक्ताले भनिरहेका थिए, वास्तवमा मान्छेको प्रवृति नै आध्यात्मिक छ। हामी धर्मशास्त्र, Darjeeling - Rail firm in charge of master plan for hills VIVEK CHHETRI, TT, Darjeeling, Nov. 7: The state government has brought in RITES to draw up a comprehensive tourism master plan for Darjeeling in the next two months, the first such effort for the Queen of the Hills.
The chief minister had made the promise during her visit to the hills in September last year, months before she was voted to power. The survey comes at a time when both the state government and the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha, signatories to the agreement to set up a new administrative arrangement for the hills, seem to be in a hurry to start some development projects in the region. Soon after signing the agreement for the formation of the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration, Morcha chief Bimal Gurung had brought architects from Delhi to see what they had to say about increasing the tourism prospects of Darjeeling. RITES, under the aegis of the railways which was formerly under Mamata and now under another Trinamul minister, offers consultancy services and has agreed to draw up the master plan for a fee of Rs 64 lakh. Jitu Sharma, an economist with RITES, said work had started on the project. “We are preparing a master plan for the tourism sector and our people are visiting existing tourist sites and are inspecting potential niches that can be developed,” Sharma said over the phone from Gurgaon. Representative of RITES are also interviewing individuals from across the hills to know their opinions on what they want. “We will also hold a meeting with the district officials on November 10,” said Sharma. The master plan will be chalked out according to the findings of the survey but RITES is known to have expertise in implementing tourism-related projects too, including setting up of ropeways, urban planning and marketing. In fact, RITES, has operational experience of working in 62 countries in Africa, Southeast Asia, West Asia and Latin America. RITES is looking at completing the master plan within the next two months. “We should be able to come up with the plan in the next two to three months,” said Sharma. The district administration too is working on a war footing to come up with projects in the hills. The Darjeeling Gorkha Hill Council, which is soon to be replaced by the GTA, has already floated a tender to build a multi-level car parking near Darjeeling Government College, the cost of which is likely to touch the Rs 17-crore mark. The DGHC has also started the process of floating tenders for construction of another car park along NH55 near the District Reserve Centre godown and for an open-air theatre at the Janga Bahadur Park at the Mall or Chowrastha, Darjeeling’s famous promenade. “The open-air theatre is part of the beautification plan for the Mall but I cannot tell you the total cost of the projects till the tender process are completed,” said DGHC administrator Anil Verma. The district administration has also sanctioned Rs 3 crore for the upgrade of the Gorkha Stadium at Lebong. ABAVP units threaten to quit over GJM ties Pinak Priya Bhattacharya, TNN , Nov 7, 2011,MALBAZAR (JALPAIGURI): The Dooars and Terai units of Akhil Bharatiya Adivasi Vikas Parshad (ABAVP) may soon break away from the organization and float a new entity if the parent body does not approve of the two units' alliance with Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM). Last Sunday, the two ABAVP units had joined hands with GJM and announced the launch of a movement for including Darjeeling Hills, Dooars and Terai under a single autonomous council - Gorkhaland & Adivasi Territorial Administration (GATA). The GJM, too, had declared that unless the Dooars and Terai are brought under GATA, they won't allow elections to be held for Gorkhaland Territorial Administration. It is learnt from sources that the Dooars and Terai leadership will first collect approval letters on GATA from all local units and send them to the central leadership. If the latter remains adamant to shun the alliance with GJM, the Dooars and Terai units may "think otherwise". Leaders of ABAVP's two units organized an executive committee meeting at the Udichi Hall in Malbazar on Sunday where the leaders of its labour wing - Progressive Tea Workers' Union - were also invited. It was unanimously decided in the meeting that the Dooars and Terai units will carry forward their movement under the leadership of John Barla, the former president of Dooars-Terai regional unit who was suspended by the ABAVP high command following the GATA agreement. After the meet, a rally was taken out keeping Barla in the front. The meeting was also attended by Tez Kumar Toppo, the secretary of ABAVP's Bengal chapter. Toppo, too, has been served a show-cause notice by the parent body for his support towards the alliance with GJM. Although five top leaders of Dooars and Terai - John Barla, Tez Kumar Toppo, Nicodene Minz, Sukra Munda and Joseph Hembram - who have been served show-cause notices for their alleged bonhomie with the GJM kept on saying that they would reply to the notices, they also said the parent body would have to realize the aspiration of the people. "We will make them understand that we joined hands with GJM only because we wanted development of the areas we live in. The governments do not seem interested on the issue as they are in case of Darjeeling. So we thought it wise to join GJM and launch a movement for an autonomous council. Our leaders have to understand that we did this for the sake of our own men," Sukra Munda said. Barla, too, voiced his concern over the lack of development in the area. "Adivasis of Dooars and Terai are with us on the GATA issue. Our leaders should realize that. We all are trying to improve the lives of thousands of tribals who have remained deprived for centuries. There's a small misunderstanding between us but we believe it will be sorted out shortly," he said. The Dooars and Terai units of ABAVP have called for a mass meeting at Nagrakata on November 15 where the local leadership will explain the GATA and the reason behind its proposed formation. On Sunday, they circulated copies of it to all local units. Tribal 5 to stand by deal with Morcha AVIJIT SINHA, TT, Siliguri, Nov. 7: The five leaders of the Dooars-Terai unit of the Akhil Bharatiya Adivasi Vikas Parishad will justify their decision to support the inclusion of the regions in the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration in their reply to the showcause notices. In the reply to be submitted tomorrow, they will also ask the state leadership to “realise the ground reality” in the Dooars and the Terai and underline how the people of the two regions would benefit by joining the hill set-up. Tezkumar Toppo, the general secretary of the Parishad and one of the five to have been showcaused, told The Telegraph: “If we join the (Gorkha Janmukti) Morcha and form the Gorkhaland and Adivasi Territorial Administration, a lot of benefits would accrue to us. This is what the state leadership must understand and appreciate. However, we will admit that it was a mistake on our part to have signed the agreement with the Morcha without informing the state leadership.” Parishad sources said the five regional leaders, including former Dooars-Terai president John Barla, had decided to stick to their stand emboldened by the support they had received at the meeting in Malbazar yesterday. “We would ask the state leaders to realise the ground reality and the aspirations of the tribal populace in the Terai and the Dooars,” said Toppo. “If the state leadership continues to oppose us, it would affect the Parishad’s support base here. The support we got at yesterday’s meeting should act as an eye-opener for the state leadership.” All the five regional leaders — Toppo, Barla, Nicotin Minz, Joseph Hembram and Sukra Munda — had been showcaused by the state leadership on November 2 for not taking its consent before signing the agreement with the Morcha. The five were given a week’s time to respond to the notices. Toppo said “ideally” the state leaders should take the process forward with the Morcha. “In the coming days, there will be more talks with the state government as well as the Centre on the GATA. So, ideally the state leadership should take the tie-up with the Morcha forward,” said Toppo. Birsa Tirkey, the state president of the Parishad, said he would comment on the action to be taken against the five regional leaders only after receiving their replies to the showcause notices. But he stressed that without the Parishad, they would not enjoy any support from the tribal people. “They should not have called the meeting under the Parishad’s banner,” Tirkey said. “They should have proved their strength without it. Look at the fate of Rajesh Lakra, the expelled general secretary of the Dooars-Terai committee. Lakra was a popular leader while he was with the Parishad. But he has hardly anybody behind him now.” Comeback hope in Gurkha Cup
The club, co-owned by Bhaichung Bhutia, has high stakes in the Darjeeling match as its performance in the Federation Cup and Durand Cup was disappointing. Twenty players, accompanied by chief coach H. Stanly Rozario, senior manager Arj-un Rai and two other club officials, left Gangtok around 11am for Darjeeling. Bhaichung, however, is in Gangtok. “We aim to win the tournament in Darjeeling. We did not perform well in the Federation Cup and Durand Cup and by doing well in the Darjeeling tournament, we want to make our fans happy. The players are motivated,” said Rai. The team manager said the players would have a light training in Darjeeling this evening before facing the Calcutta-based Techno Aryans in the quarterfinal tomorrow. “The Techno Aryans is a good side and we expect a tight match tomorrow. Our players are prepared and want to give a very good performance, besides entertaining the Darjeeling spectators,” said Rai. United Sikkim has been given a direct quarterfinal entry into the Gurkha Gold Cup. Two boys from the Darjeeling hills are also part of the United Sikkim squad for the Gurkha Cup. The presence of defender Pranesh Dewan from Darjeeling and midfielder Jiten Rai from Kurseong is expected to fetch support from the crowds for United Sikkim. “I feel great to play in Darjeeling representing Bhaichung Bhutia’s team. I want to give a good performance there. We hope that crowd will come to support us,” said Jiten. Pranesh has also expectations from the crowd. “It will be a proud moment for me to play for the United Sikkim in my home town. Three arrested for slapping doctor in Siliguri SNS, SILIGURI, 7 NOV: Siliguri police arrested three persons, including an old woman, for slapping a doctor in Siliguri hospital today. Though relatives of the patient, Mrs Renu Datta, alleged that Dr TK Bagania misbehaved with the old woman, the police registered a case against Ms Arati Datta, Mr Guddu Datta, the husband of the patient and Mrs Renu Datta. A pregnant woman, Mrs Datta, had been admitted to Siliguri hospital with abdominal pain on Saturday. The hospital authorities had called her relatives to brief about her situation. Mrs Datta's husband was confused when the doctor informed him about a tumour and suggested a surgery after a sonoscan report. According to her relatives, the doctor allegedly misled them about her pregnancy. Dr Bagania hinted that she might die during the surgery. The trouble broke out when Arati, who is an activist of the Bangla O Bangla Bhasha Banchao Committee, asked the doctor about his decision to refer the patient to the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). She also demanded that the doctor explain the patient’s history in writing, to which Dr Bagania lost his patience. The Siliguri additional SP, Mr Amit P Javalgi, said: "Arati Datta, an old woman, slapped the on-duty doctor during an altercation at the hospital. She is deceitful and played dirty and tried to blame the doctor." Dr Bagania said: "I did not touch her. I tried to pacify them when they were arguing. I seated her in a chair and requested her to calm down." On the other hand, Arati Datta said: "When I asked the doctor to explain the problem, he ignored me and called me a layman. When I sought a clarification about his decision to refer the patient to another institution, cancelling her scheduled surgery, he roughed me up. I fell down and became unconscious." "The police arrived at the hospital and brought me to the police station without a medical examination," she said. AAGSU condoles death of music maestro Dr. Bhupen Hazarika  PR, Agencies & KalimNews, Guwahati, 4th Nov 2011: The All Assam Gorkha Students’ Union (AAGSU) and Assam Nepali Sahitya Sabha (ANSS), a leading Nepali literary organisation of the State, expressed their deep condolence at the sad demise of iconic national singer and litterateur Dr Bhupen Hazarika on Saturday at the Mumbai-based Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.The AAGSU in profound grief has condoled the demise of legendary singer, composer, director over all ‘Music Maestro’ Asom Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika 86. The legend passed away at 4:30pm on Saturday due to multiple organ failure. Dr Hazarika was closely associated with the Gorkhas since his birth in 1926, at Sadiya in Tinsukia district of Upper Assam, a Gorkha populated area. He hugely adrored the Gorkha tradition and culture wore the vadgawley ‘Gorkha Cap’ through out his life. He also sang Kopili Noir parat Gorkha Gaburu Joni…. on seeing a Gorkha damsel fetching water in clay pots on the bank of Kopili river in Assam’ recalled Nanda Kirati Dewan the AAGSU leader. Bhupen Hazarika also sang famous Hindi songs like “Dil hoom hoom kare” and “Ganga behti ho kyun”. Dewan stated that Condolences meeting in aegis of AAGSU and allied Gorkha literary and cultural organizations will be held across the state to pay rich tribute and homage to the legend. He added that it is an irreparable loss to mankind, a historic loss indeed. Madan Thapa, general secretary of the Assam Nepali Sahitya Sabha (ANSS), in another press communiqué, also deeply condoled the death of Dr Hazarika and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul. He observed that not only Assam, but the whole nation has lost a valuable jewel like Dr Hazarika who gave the message of unity, peace and harmony through his epoch-making songs. “The Nepali-speaking community of the State will never forget this legendary artiste who showed his sense of belonging to this community by wearing a black Nepali hat (topi) till his last breath. He will remain immortal among us with his valuable creations. We pray to God for his eternal peace,” Thapa added. TNN,KATHMANDU: Sharply divided over the artistic merits of Bollywood's new blockbuster, the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Ra.One, Nepal however was unanimous in its tribute to folk music maestro Bhupen Hazarika, mourning the passing away of a man who had touched the hearts of thousands of Nepalis living in Assam, Nepal and elsewhere. Nepal's mainstream media paid tributes to the 86-year-old on Sunday with some dailies even pushing away the news of Maoist supremo Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda's US visit inside to carry the news of Hazarika's death on the front page. His appearance alone was enough to endear Hazarika to the Nepali heart. His trademark black cap is known as the Bhadgaonle topi in Nepal with its roots in Bhadgaon town in Bhaktapur city. Prachanda shared the same cap in 2008 when he wore it to take oath as Nepal's first Maoist prime minister. Bhupen Hazarika did his Intermediate in Guwahati in 1942, and went on to Banaras Hindu University where he did his M A in Political Science in 1946. Soon after, he did PhD from Columbia varsity in New York in Mass Communication. He also received the Lisle Fellowship from Chicago University, USA to study the use of educational project development through cinema. Dr Hazarika was also ranked amongst the leading film makers of the nation. It was he who dared to propagate the cinema movement with unputdownable contribution which is why, he was awarded dada Saheb Phalke award. As an Independent MLA from 1967 to 1972 he did everything possible to set up the first government film studio named after Jyoti Prasad Agarwalla. Hazarika earned reputation of a notable film maker with Era Batar Sur, Shakuntala, Pratidhwani, Lotighoti, Chick Mick Bijuli, Mon Projapati and Siraj. In 1992, he presided the Assam Sahitya Sabha in its Sivasagar session. Last year, he was given the Assam Ratna award. Asom Ratna dr. Bhupen Hazarika is immortal in terms of his service to music and humanity. The news of the demise of music maestro Dr Bhupen Hazarika has grieved all sections of people here. Dr Hazarika was the last representative who worked with the three great cultural icons of Assam – Rupkonwar Jyoti Prasad Agarwala, Kalaguru Bishnu Rabha and Natasuryya Phani Sarma. At the age of 12, when he was a student of the Tezpur Govt Higher Secondary School, Dr Hazarika had performed Jyoti Sangeet in front of the trio. In 2001, Dr Hazarika was honoured with a Doctorate in Literature from the Tezpur University. Dr Madan Sarma, head of the English department, Tezpur University, said that Dr Hazarika was thus honoured for his outstanding contribution to art and culture. The University was privileged to be able to record its deep regard for his multi-faceted genius. His contribution to the cause of Indian music, cinema and cultural life has already received due recognition. |
