Announcement for Marathon runners

KalimNews: Interested 20 runners above 18 from Darjeeling and Sikkim are invited to run Thane Half Marathon (21 KM) in February 2012. All expenditures of travelling by train and lodging during their stay for the run will be borne by people supporting this run. Roshni Rai will arrange, sponsor and support those interested runners of Darjeelin hills and Sikkim. Total expenditure per runner to come and run the Thane marathon will be around Rupees 10,000/- (ten thousand only) and she is arranging to get the sponsorship.
Interested runners should register their names to Roshni and fill up the official form.

It is recalled that Roshni from is from Pedong and an ace runner who lives running by her heart and running is her only passion. She had also participated in the Rambi-Pedong Friendly Group Long Run  held on 1st May 2011. Infact she had arranged to bring the 5 national marathon runners to this run. 

She had bagged the Mumbai Runner's Best Runner Award on 22 January 2011 in Mumbai for adjudging best female runner in the Mumbai Marathon (42 km). She was honoured with this award in a function held at Juhu-Ville Parle Gymkhana Club. She also received another award Hall of Fame for coming within 5th position in different events. Roshni Rai had stood first in two I-races (10km), 3rd in Ultra Marathon (50km) held in Bangalore on 14th Nov, 2010, 3rd in Boriveli National Park Half Marathon (21km) and was the only Indian to take part in Prague international marathon on 9th May, 2010.

She had run10 in 2010 and 7 marathons this year.

Roshni is a legal executive of Colgate Palmolive in Mumbai.

Announcement for leadership training at Pedong

KalimNews: A Landmark Education workshop is arranged at Pedong on 7th September to help the people live a powerful life. The programme to be held in St.George’s H.S School hall will start at 1pm and of 3hours duration. One of the very senior Landmark Education Coach Mr. Vivek Behl from Delhi is invited as a resource person along with runner Roshni Rai.

Roshni will share her experience as a Landmark Education trainee and also about her project of helping runners from Darjeeling-Sikkim.
